Oh yeah, I've heard this before. I think it was in the Bombshell trailer.
Anyways, good for her.
DuhSo you're a Bond guy
Double-0-7 Bond guy
Leaves the ladies fond guy

I like her but she's not established enough to have earned it. Some of the best vocalists of all time have done Bond songs over the years.
This is gonna sell records. So you're a Bond guy

This is as close as we are gonna get... :(
The songs to all these Craig movies have been so forgettable. The chorus to Skyfall the best effort. Hopefully this breaks the streak.
in what world is ''you know my name'' forgettableThe songs to all these Craig movies have been so forgettable. The chorus to Skyfall the best effort. Hopefully this breaks the streak.
I assume that one of the songs? Does it at any point even say the name of the movie.
Between Fukunaga, Waller-Bridge, Hans Zimmer and now Billie Ellish, there's such a sense of fresh and new that it is getting me dangerously hyped. Can't wait. She's one of the most exciting things to come out of mainstream music in the last few years and the amount of hate she gets is baffling.
Having the likes of Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Billie Eilish involved in a Bond movie is exactly what these movies need.
Saying the name of the movie does not make it unforgettable...I assume that one of the songs? Does it at any point even say the name of the movie.

And You Know My Name is not only the best song of the Craig era, but probably the best song of the whole franchise.
The way this thread is shaping up I am not far from predicting a sort of themesonggate building up on other... less civil places on the internet...
First thing that came to my mind.
Doing a theme song for james bond is one of the GREATEST honors anyone can ever do, its disrespectful to just let anyon....
Sheryl Crow - Tomorrow Never Dies
"Tomorrow Never Dies" by Sheryl Crow, a fantastic song which was used as the opening theme to the James Bond movie.---Darling I'm killedI'm in a puddle on th...www.youtube.com
edit:
I agree, will be fun to see the arguments. Its a marketing tool, always has been?
The thing is - and seeing Crow's Tomorrow Never Dies drives this point home - is that Eilish is really good, but ultimately this won't be one of the best Bond themes because the best ones are always written side-by-side with the score and weave the main theme of the score into the track. Whenever it's just a 'licensed in' song, it's never a stone-cold classic... and that is what it is. Which, incidentally, is why KD Lang's Surrender is the superior Tomorrow Never Dies theme (though TND is a decent song in its own right, I think) - but it wasn't poppy enough for the producers so it got shunted to the credits.

Anyway. I think she'll do a good job, tbh. Can't be worse than Another Way to Die!
I'm willing to bet she can sing better that you

Does that give perspective? She hasn't actually been alive that long.To give some perspective: Billie Eilish was 4 when Casino Royale came out and we still have the same Bond actor.
