I too hope that they go back to reusing sprites from the mid 90s for the Capcom roster, and using the 90s designs for the Marvel characters.

Frankly I was appalled that Morrigan's character model in MvC3 wasn't that same shitty sprite Capcom had been using over and over again for a decade.
Nah 3 was gorgeous from top to bottom. I'd be fine with either returning to sprites or aggressive hypercellshading like 3
3 is still one of the best looking fighting games.
2 was just a mugen sprite dumb with a weird non cohesive aesthetic
MVC2 is my fav in the series, but those sprites (many which had missing animations, ie Sentinel) can stay right in that game.
MVC3 looked great. My main issue was with how dark many of the stages were. Aside from that, game looked and animated quite well.
