My computer monitor and my TV cause no problems. But for whatever reason staring at a bright phone for too long always leads to a headache

My office has floaters that go to different offices on demand. They will use any desk that is available. When I'm out of office for a day I'll come back to my monitors set to full blast.

No, it fluctuates constantly and is beyond annoying to me. Thanks to the battery life on the new iPhone, I don't worry about it for power consumption and it doesn't bother my eyes using the OLED screen at max brightness in dark mode.

I've turned my phone down to 0% because I'm usually up longer than my girlfriend and don't want to disturb her when I'm reading in bed. This has my phone thinking I always want it as low as possible with the adaptive brightness which is annoying AF, but I am too lazy to change the settings.

I tried auto when I got my most recent phone. After the first day I hated it because it was usually too bright and not where I wanted. Went back to manual. Its not really any trouble to re-adjust for different environments
