This also depends on the phone, because 50% on one model might be very different from 50% on another.

Normal (indoors, average sunlight): around 50%
Outdoors: 100%
On bedroom with lights off: 0%

I keep my phone, laptop and TV all at 100%.

I don't see the point of having a nice looking display, and having it be dim.

Some of you are crazy with 100%. Unless I'm outdoors, I keep it at 10-15%. Higher than that is just straining my eyes.

I just turned my phone down to ~25% to see what I'm missing... I don't get how yall can use it that dim. I could barely see anything on the screen.

Are you a cave dweller or something? At 0 I could barely make out enough to turn the brightness back up. haha

If anything above 0 hurts your eyes, how do you even leave the house?
My computer monitor and my TV cause no problems. But for whatever reason staring at a bright phone for too long always leads to a headache

0% to 10%. Stupidly it bothers me when people use high brightness on their phones or monitors. Its an eye sore.

My office has floaters that go to different offices on demand. They will use any desk that is available. When I'm out of office for a day I'll come back to my monitors set to full blast.

People don't just use auto?
No, it fluctuates constantly and is beyond annoying to me. Thanks to the battery life on the new iPhone, I don't worry about it for power consumption and it doesn't bother my eyes using the OLED screen at max brightness in dark mode.

edit: sorry for the double post.

I'm not trying to strain my eyes every time I look at the phone

I've turned my phone down to 0% because I'm usually up longer than my girlfriend and don't want to disturb her when I'm reading in bed. This has my phone thinking I always want it as low as possible with the adaptive brightness which is annoying AF, but I am too lazy to change the settings.

Depends on the max brightness of the phone I guess? I like nice, bright screens and my iPhone 11 is usually good around 50%. My older phones I always did higher than that.
