Is a three person collab too much?
Do we move threads back from hangouts for new ports? Or should I just repost my Hollow Knight thread for the Switch?
just a heads up: the window for claiming Fire Emblem starts around December. In case anyone was trigger happy. (or unless it's out in Japan earlier than Spring)
did I not put it in the list?Weird query - was wondering what happened to my claim a while back for Octo Expansion? I thought it being Summer and all fit the rules, but maybe I missed something
fixed
did I not put it in the list?
edit: huh
edit2: ah, I know why. copy-paste fail :)
please read the OP
reposting these because who reads OPs, right guys?
SOME BRIEF GUIDELINES ABOUT WHAT IT MEANS TO CLAIM HERE:
- You're making a commitment to work on it.
- You'll update us if you change your mind. (Or when a release date changes)
- If you choose to make a thread on someone else's behalf you are solely responsible for it.
- Posting an OT is taking on a responsibility to maintain it, too. Don't just post one, cash in the praise, then dash. Keep it updated if other posters bring up valuable info to collect and share. Make sure things are accurate.
- If somebody has already claimed an OT that you also wanted to work on, collaborate with each other. Claiming an OT is not a race to be first to exclude others. Collaboration is mandatory if multiple people want to work on an OT! This is not first come first served! Claiming is about preventing two people wasting their time making dueling threads, it's not about excluding others.
- Be reasonable - claims are to only be made for games/movies/etc officially announced as releasing/premiering within the next six months. No TBA or "coming soon" type stuff. No educated guesstimates or speculation. Provide a source for the release date. As official as possible, please. No speculation. Also: please inform me if that date is changed, like when there are delays/specifications from Qx to MonthX, etc.
It doesn't have to go into Hangouts. Is the issue then that the game is already released? Nobody took to making an OT, so as someone who just started out three weeks ago, I figured I'd take up the work. It could go straight into the Hangout section if passed time is the problem.

You just don't have to claim it. It's already been out a while, if somebody else wanted to make a thread for it they would have so just post away. :)
wait it's already out? I thought you typo'd the year and it's a new game. you don't need to claim threads for games that are out at all even.Is the issue then that the game is already released? I was wondering, since they're not popular enough to justify individual OTs, whether a 'Lego Game' Community Thread/OT would work? I can't make it now (still a Junior) but I'd be more than willing to make one if able.
My only real qualm is whether to have it cover just Telltale's Lego games or all Lego games since Island, but that's an issue I can figure out when necessary. That and whether I should 'claim' it in this thread considering games are still coming out in the franchise; if someone wants to do a DC Super Villains OT (which doesn't seem likely, but it's a possibility) would that be separate or not?
Since it is not a new game, there is no need to claim an OT. You can just go ahead and make the OT and post it as a community thread. The scope and range that you want to discuss in the OT is up to you, but as a "community" thread, it should probably encompass ALL LEGO games out on the market, regardless of platform.
Sounds good. The thing is, though, if it were to encompass all Lego games it would also have to encompass all future Lego games (including DC Super Villains later this year). I guess if it were advertised as a Community thread instead of an OT there wouldn't be as much confusion if someone did want to make an individual OT in the future which, whilst not likely, (the only one I've ever seen was for Lego City Undercover back on GAF) can happen.
The list is up-to-date as ofShining Resonance Refrain by Luminaire (March 26th, 2018)
July 10, 2018
Not sure if the list hasn't been updated, but I dropped the Shining OT a few weeks back.
Valkyria Chronicles 4 by Luminaire (June 24th, 2018)
September 25th, 2018
please fix the format, thanks.
you're pushing the limit here, I'm letting it go through with those two weeks of difference. please don't hype claim OTs right after an announcement and respect the guidelines. thx
Do we have to claim photomode/screenshot threads for a specific game lol? I wanna do the photomode thread for Spiderman when that drops.
Upfront^from OP
You do not need to claim threads that are just random threads about a thing or an issue or an idea. If you want to post a Salami OT, or your local bathouse, or about jaywalking while cosplaying as a pixel art frog, just go ahead and do it. No need to go through this procedure. Same goes for already released games/products. If you have an OT ready to go for something that is already in the past, you do not need to claim it either as there is a super low chance someone was working on the same thing. This is for products/events/media releases that are tied to release dates and follow a certain pattern. Claiming OTs is a measure to avoid conflict and multiple people putting work into elaborate threads on the same thing. In general, follow the rules about creating threads found in the Resetera General FAQ at the top of the page.
screenshot threads are not OTs
Have no idea where to post this, but is there an official "PlayStation" hardware thread?
