The ResetEra FAQ has this to say about posting OTs
Official Topics (OTs): OTs for products need to be claimed first in the specific thread for OTs (which exist for both gaming and offtopic). You can design your OT however you want but we'd like to suggest that you should include some basic information about the product (see below). The format for an OT thread title is usually <product name> |OT| <subtitle>.

OTs for games should not go up more than 72 hours before launch. A strong OT should contain the following:

  • Release Date

  • Developer

  • Publisher

  • Platform(s)

  • Price(s)

A note upfront: Please read these guidelines before you make a claim for the first time. Remember that CTRL+F/Command+F is your friend (search). Before asking if game/film x, y, or z have been claimed yet, do a quick search here. It's easy!

SOME BRIEF GUIDELINES ABOUT WHAT IT MEANS TO CLAIM HERE:

· You're willing to work on it.

· You'll update us if you change your mind

· If somebody has already claimed an OT that you want to assist with, offer your services to them if you have something to offer. Your best contribution will be in keeping the OT alive when it is posted.

· Claiming is about preventing two people wasting their time making dueling threads, it's not about excluding others.

· If you choose to make a thread on someone else's behalf you are solely responsible for it.

· To be reasonable - claims are to only be made for games/etc with either solid release dates (within a year) OR officially announced as releasing within the next twelve months (aka the 1-year-out rule). Example: a game given a 2020 release year can be claimed starting January 2020. In both cases, don't claim anything that is further off than a year.

· All OTs posted on ResetEra must follow the official guidelines.

Any way to fix the space between images in OT's? Example. Also; images with a link attached to it seem to get pushed a couple pixels to the right which breaks a bit with the rest of the design. I hope this is the right thread for this. If not; please redirect me to the right thread :).

Yeah, the EtcetEra forums. NEW OTs go in there. If you're reposting OLD OTs they go in Hangouts.
Same for Gaming side but in, well, Gaming.

Agreed but I don't wanna bug the staff too much cause they're likely super busy and the stickying can wait a little bit.

Hey, Cerium has claimed the OT for indivisible, but does that include the pre-release/backer update thread that was already active on GAF, or is Cerium just claiming the release day thread? Because i'm willing to make the former.

So stuff's gonna be hectic during the transition but what I've been doing is messaging the original poster of the old thread to see if they want to do it. Cerium might even be super busy running this place now so they might not want to do Indivisible in the end.

I'll take a few days, it's not urgent because most of the Star Trek community is busy with Discovery which has an OT. But it'll most likely be up before the winter break of Star Trek Discovery i.e. November 12th.

Are OTs for old games allowed?
I would love to have a Wipeout OT if there is enough interest here, even if its just a small community where dedicated fans can indulge in the occasional nostalgic AG talk.
Could use some help, though. I have zero experience with OTs or graphic design.

I see someone claimed an EDF 5 OT, but can i make a community hangout thread? EDF is a large franchise with multiple games releasing in the future.
