2K games the IP.Looks great. Definitely going to be jealous when the sequel is Microsoft exclusive.
Nope obsidian/ Microsoft does , 2k games however published this game though. Probably owns rights to a sequel

It's an RPG, though? New Vegas was a first person shooter RPG as well (that you could happen to play really jankily in third person). This is my Fallout 4. I won't say New Vegas 2 because it's not an RPG.
The joy of having actual options, with different outcomes! What Fallout 4 should have been, right here!
Everything looked great about this BUT then saw that it was yet another new rpg that is forced first person. Why? Why are newer rpgs doing this? Cyberpunk and now this, there are plenty of us that prefer to play in third person, even in TES/Fallout games. Just make it an optional choice and let the players have that choice instead of forcing it upon them.
Having force first person really sucks the fun out of rpgs when it comes to customization aspect, getting new armor/weapons, making your characters visual appearance, etc feel completely useless since you won't ever see those for the vast majority of playing.
More accurate to say they have first rights of refusal on the sequel. Likely Microsoft would just make a deal with them (buy out their contract) if they want to make a sequel. If they own the rights to a sequel wouldn't we say they may as well be de facto owners of the IP?
How do you continue the IP without a sequel?
Pretty sure Obsidian owns the IP, private division is just publishing.
I never thought I'd see another 3D game with a proper dialog system ever again. Hopefully there will be even more options in other conversations.
