So there's an update on the status of the Nintendo Switch version of The Outer Worlds since the delay announcement. It'll come out on June 5 and will have a 6 GB day-one patch.

The Outer Worlds | Enter

Edit: I know the title is wrong and reported to have it fixed.

Ooo that's sooner than expected.

A patch is very preferable to no physical release.

Nice. I can't trade in my PS4 copy anymore (UK retail shuttered indefintiely) so probably won't get this, but from what I've played it's a promising RPG and a fine addition to the Switch's library.

Prepare for the most mediocre RPG experience imaginable. I never thought Obsidian was capable of something this uninspired after the incredible Pillars of Eternity games.

Funnily enough i heard the same mediocre thing about Pillars. And Tyranny.
Obsidian at its safest and blandest is still better than most other studios anyway

I play New Vegas to this day on and off but never played Outer Worlds. Is this game on par with NV in terms of lore, world building and rpg elements ?

Rented this on PS4 and found it very slow and too boring to sit and play on the TV for hours. Still relatively intrigued by the world and story though and may get it on Switch, I think it'll be much easier to play casually while my gf watches TV.

Weird to not feature this in the Nintendo Direct mini, but given Obsidian's current ownership, maybe they don't want to make too big a deal of it.

Sorta makes sense but with how much Minecraft has sold on Switch, you'd think Microsoft wouldn't wanna hamper this in any way

Cool, will be interesting to see how this looks. Still no footage right?

For a game that won several game of the year awards.. the amount of fans calling it mediocre or in some cases outright bad is really mind boggling.

Also:
Isnt Outer Worlds still published by Private Division? (Take Two)
Not sure what Microsoft would have a say in this.. they bought Obsidian after this game.

To people asking if they should get it or not: if you're interested, buy it and decide for yourself if you like it or not. I really did (more than New Vegas, actually) for my own reasons. Sometimes a game can relate to you more than to someone else.

AAA gaming in 2019 was weak as hell, so even mediocrity stood out.

Ah awesome, they made spring after all! Very excited for this, will find time to play despite XBCDE releasing so close to it. And they are doing physical as well now (I know it's been confirmed previously), so that's nice too!

Tried it on Game Pass and I couldn't be bothered to finish it. Was kinda boring. Although I don't play many RPGs so I have no real reference.

The Outer Worlds was still a fun game. It's just not on Fallout New Vegas level. Plus it plays the capitalism card a bit too safely. The game starts out pretty well, still feels nice when you hit the space station... and then unfortunately gets worse and worse from there :/

I really wish this game had cross save, I played it on my Xbox because of gamepass and I recently built a brand new PC and I would love to play with my Xbox game save on my PC. DO they have any plans on making this a play anywhere title?
