Starting to put together my new 2019 / 2020 PC build.
I typically do an entirely new build every 4 to 5 years. Generally coinciding with the release of a major Bethesda Open World release.
I built a computer back in 2007 for Oblivion, I built a computer in 2012 for Skyrim -

and another computer in 2016 for Fallout 4 -

I know there is no announced or planned dates for ES6 or Starfield, however with my new job and some decent windfalls of luck lately with my leftover tax return money, I feel it's time to start planning a new build for 2019 / 2020.
So far I have two parts purchased and I want to stick to a strict budget under $2000 if possible (tax and shipping) included. My old 2016 build will be repurposed for something else. Mainly NAS since there two enterprise level HDDs currently installed in it for archival purposes. Another thing I want with my new build is no magnetic storage. I intend to be fully solid state. No more spinning platter HDDs.
The 750GB Crucial MX SSD is something I had lying around that I am going to throw in as backup storage. I bought a NZXT H700 Case, and currently highly rated / well reviewed NVMe SSD, an ADATA - XPG SX8200 Pro which I plan to use as primary OS storage for the new PC.
Using reviews from various sources as well as
www.logicalincrements.com I've carefully selected the parts I intend to buy. However like all things. Newer stuff can come out and things can change.
Here is the build I have thus far.

A 2080 RTX may not be as significant upgrade over a 1070 GTX, so I may wait until the Nvidia 3080 RTX comes out and opt for that instead. Also both the 9900k and the 9700k as of recent are within comparable price points, so I'm trying to justify an actual reason why I would want a 9900K over 9700K, since I do some streaming and video editing the extra threads might come in handy.
I try to use promo codes and discounts as the opportunity grants. Also I am fortunate enough to live near a Micro Center so I probably buy some of my parts there since they have excellently priced Motherboard + CPU combo deals.
Other than that I plan for this particular build to last solid 7 to 8 years. Any suggestions or recommendations for me to investigate?
