The accomplishment is real, no one doubts it, specifically most sold home console brand. And above 450 mil is the logical conclusion based on existing numbers. But it's sort of like being served a nice soup but you know they cleaned the pot earlier with a dirty sponge.
The guy always looks like he really doesn't like being there. Not like he's grumpy. He just shifts and looks nervous.
I hope that's overridden a bit by knowing how much people love his work.
i don't get this analogy especially in the context of playstation sales (unless this is about the vgchartz source?)
A bit weird that Iceborne isn't a Platinum Prize winner but Nier: Automata winning is impressive.

The Platinum Award goes to any game on the sony platform that crosses 1 million in its lifetime when combining Japanese sales and Asia.
its LTD sales, it crossed 1 million unit sales in the region.
This would also mean Asia made up over 800k sales to compensate Japan.

This is the biggest amount of Platinum Prize winners since the PS1 days (well equal with a couple of PS2 years).
Iceborne gets Network Award and Iceborne Master Edition gets Gold Prize.
