The problem with it for me is even with it being a nice emulator I still don't feel comfortable buying it when Sony didn't put in the proper work by themselves.
I would like to know this too.whats a good usb drive for the classic?
I looked at the google document list and that thing is such a fricken mess, plus the one listed isn't even a new model or anything.......so its like $60 for a 64GB drive which is not right at all lol
Are you able to access the emulator settings easier than the original emulator where you needed a specific keyboard? Both use Pcsx as the base/main PS1 emulator. The original team just didn't do a very good job of porting it. Bleemsync/autobleem use a newer version of the emulator that had more effort put into optimizing the port.
Why would anyone play the psp port of SFA 3 when the arcade version is perfect?According to a guy on Reddit who tested some DC fighters, no it doesn't excel at it. It runs some Capcom 2D fighters mostly okay with some catches. Marvel vs Capcom 2 kinda plays okay from the sound of it. So for sure set expectations accordingly.
PSP is indeed working well. On the first release they had SF Alpha 3 Max working full speed except the intro.
Is retroarch still being updated for the PS3? If it is, then probably not.
As someone who owns both, I won't be going back to the playstation TV personally outside of Vita games. More options available for this device and better shader support. Is it worth messing with if I've already got a PlayStation TV?
All of the settings are accessible through retroarch via regular controllers, so yes.Are you able to access the emulator settings easier than the original emulator where you needed a specific keyboard?
Better and more options for most systems, there may be some PSP games that'd work better on the vita.Better or worse than emulation on a hacked Vita? I'm fine with just emulating on my laptop, but a dedicated device might be nice next time it's on sale for 30 CAD.
Thanks for the quick reply! Really bummed about the second response. I'm so particular about these things. I need the Classic UI with folder ability. I got hundreds of gigs ready to go if that feature ever gets done.1: For PS1 games, yes. Autobleem uses the default UI and you can leave it the default or skin it to your liking. For all other systems, you need to boot into retroarch which has it's own UI
2: For PS1 games in the default UI? No. In Retroarch you can use folders, and even load the default games.
3. If you use a powered hub, yes. Otherwise you'll have to wait till the OTG update comes out, which lets you hook up harddrives to the back USB (USB power port).
I wonder if Sony is even sorry for how badly they fucked up the PS Classic.
And I wonder if it's going to become another PSTV situation now that the homebrew scene is making it more appealing, being given away now and rare and expensive when the stock runs out.
For ps1 games, it's as easy as formatting a USB key called SONY and installing autobleem onto it and putting your bin/cue/pbp into a directory called Games. Is there a simple, complete dummies tutorial on how to install all this stuff?
I did the SNES Classic just fine. I'm only another year older but my dumb ass couldn't work out a thing on how to do it with the PS Classic.
I'm using a Sandisk Cruzer, which seems to be the go-to right now.

Lists other tested drives so far.
glad i grabbed one for $40, no doubt they'll finally dump them for cheaper but it felt like a good deal
PSP emulation sounds good, wonder how it does with Neo Geo until i can afford that
Of the games I've tried on both, there is much less slowdown on the PSC. Games like Chrono Cross, Mega Man Legends, amongst the ones I've tried that had issues on PSTV.What I'd like to know is how it compares to PSX games running off the PSTV, and whether you can use a wireless DS4 with it like you can with the PSTV.
So what you're saying is that the Playstation Emulator itself has been replaced? I was never particularly interested when folks were adding more games because if the emulation was still trash it wasn't worth the time.

I've seen reports of all cruisers up to 128GB working. I'm using a 16GB right nowAre you using an 8 GB? It's the only one I see listed in that compatibility document, so I wondered if all Cruzers were good or just the 8 GB.
