Why does it matter? Why go easy on something as harmful as meat consumption out of pleasure and not necessity? Era doesn't mince words when it comes to issues harming the climate, but you all turn hella centrist when confronted with the impact of meat.
Probably because the impact of cutting meat is not aligned with the push to cut it. There are hundreds of other ways people can reduce their impact on the environment, many of which are more effective. Those don't get weekly topics with preachy, accusatory OPs, though.

Y'all are focusing too hard on something that, in the end, won't do shit to "save the planet" on an individual basis. You're putting the blame for a humongous issue on individual people who, if they all stopped eating meat today, couldn't solve the problem anyway because they're not the primary contributor to climate change.

You're also claiming "oh that's easy why can't you just..." without knowing anything about anyone else, taking your personal opinion/situation and applying it to everyone.

You know what's "easier" and more impactful than changing your entire diet or even moderately modifying it for an entire year? Getting on a plane one fewer time a year. Cancel one trip you wanted to take. Take a staycation. Where are these kinds of threads for literally anything else people can do other than cutting meat? Why is a solution with such limited impact on the environment constantly the hot button issue for the OPs? (Is it because y'all have a moral stance against meat consumption but can't argue that position because it's entirely subjective?)
