Cool. The first game was underbaked, but the second was a biiiig improvement and a lot of fun.

Wow... only took almost 18 years. I remember wanting this to be released so badly back in the day.

There were maybe five people that used the machine, including me. There was just no scene or interest at all.

This is so fucking left field lol.

I wonder if they're going to lean into trying to preserve a 2d artstyle since that was the first game's whole thing.

That opening CG is just dripping with mid 2000s low budget anime energy. That music too holy moley.

I am confused, why they are using the anime opening of the first game on ps2 but with the second one logo? Are they going to port the story mode from that port+TRF2?

Oh shit what? I've always wanted to play this game lol. Honestly wanna see more PS2 era Arcade fighters get released like Fighting Layer, Daraku Tenshi: The Falling Angels, Kaiser Knuckle etc.

I don't know which god heard my pleas for a home port of RF2, but thank you! One of the reasons I still keep my PS2 setup is to play RF1 from time to time

Such a sleeped-on fighting game of its time. It is an excellent game to look at and really was a mixtape of sorts by Dimps before they went on to help Capcom make Street Fighter IV. All fighting game fans should play it and it still holds up very well.

There's something surreal with "Warzard and The Rumble Fish 2 were released on consoles in 2022".

I think it's the perfect time, the game has been resurrected thanks to Fightcade. Yeah, a super niche title but a good, fun one.

Wow, I remember wanting to play this thing 15 years ago. Surprised it's finally getting a proper worldwide console release. I will wait for more info!

Okay, so like, I don't think I was that tech savy at the time, so maybe I don't know what's what, but in that intro there, that nurse character running from those guys in suits is clearly stealing a floppy from them. Where Floppy discs stilled used circa 2004-2005?

They were still a thing when I was in 4th grade back in 2006 lol
Also thats such a sick announement. Pretty cool that so many arcade only fighting games are finally coming to console.

Wow, so out of left field. I forget if I even own the console port of the first Rumble Fish game... but hey, better late than never right?

I'd always heard about this back in the day, but I never looked into it myself.

I gotta say though...
That was the worst OP I can remember.

Damn Rumble Fish 2, finally!!! Back in the day I imported the PS2 version of the first game and liked it a lot. Will definitely buy this port too.

Not only this and Warzard, we're also getting a new port of Breaker's Revenge soon.

So when are we getting that last Power Instinct ported? Still waiting on that.
