yeah thats def why probably is unstable without it.I'm guessing this is so people don't place it vertically without the stand but blegh, it looks bad horizontally.
Like this:
I agree that feet would have been better. But perhaps there's some other reason we're not seeing. It's the only part of the design I don't like. Why couldn't they have placed "feet" on each corner like the ones for laying it down horizontally.
Does that make the Series S the only console without a stand?
Given there are vents I suspect they dont want to block airflow
maybe they figure it's crucial for ventilation if the system is vertical, so this is their way of not letting people lose the stand and figuring "eh, fuck it".
But it's pretty clear this thing is designed to be vertical
yup, probablyalso clear sign of which way you should stand it vertically for air flow.
Four rubber feet would have been fine. It's the only part of the design I don't like. Why couldn't they have placed "feet" on each corner like the ones for laying it down horizontally.

"Microsoft sent our own Ryan McCaffrey (@DMC_Ryan) scale model dummy versions of the Xbox Series X and Series S"
This seems like an odd thing to do.

Unstable? It's a freaking box lol. They most likely did this for ventilation purposes as there appears to be ventilation holes at the bottom of the console.
Eh, series X is the second best looking of the next-gen consoles. (Series S is the best)It isn't a looker either way you stand it, if we're being honest.
it depends how the did the bottom of it, and yes because the ventilation is from one way to another.Unstable? It's a freaking box lol. They most likely did this for ventilation purposes as there appears to be ventilation holes at the bottom of the console.
