The second season of 'The Terror', subtitled 'Infamy', will premiere on Monday, August 12 at 9/8c. The second season, like the first, will consist of 10 one hour episodes.

'The Terror' is an anthology series from AMC where every season tells a self contained horror story based on a historical event.

Set during World War II, 'The Terror:Infamy' centers on a series of bizarre deaths that haunt a Japanese-American community and a young man's journey to understand and combat the malevolent entity responsible.

Cast

Chester's response to extreme, life-altering events leads him on a treacherous journey that teaches him what it means to be an American, and a man.

No one knows much about Yuko Tanabe, but her role is central in the fate of Chester and the rest of the Terminal Islanders.

Henry, Chester's father, would say he's "just a simple fisherman," his faith in America will soon be tested.

Asako, Chester's mother, deeply respects the traditions of Japanese culture, but with that reverence comes a bent toward superstition.

Yamato-san is the 80-year-old elder statesman of Terminal Island.

Amy is one of the Yoshidas, the closest family friends of the Nakayamas on Terminal Island.

Season 2 is original, but they haven't ruled out future seasons being based off of novels.

Is it all episodes at once or one episode per week? I really hope it hits Prime or Netflix soon. Literally the only way I can see it.

I loved the first season. So much so that I started the book (which I am also loving).

One episode a week is how it's usually done, though last season they also released all episodes at once on AMC Premiere and Amazon. The first season streams exclusively on Hulu in the US so that will probably be the home for season 2 as well.

You'll likely have to wait a year before it drops onto streaming. At least that's how long it took for the first season hit Hulu.

I don't like that at all. I want another season of ''1800-1900 isolated crew'' horror. :(

Cause Better call Saul, Walking dead and some other shows were dropping a week after their US release on Indian Netflix. And I think Amazon Prime was almost day and date with The Terror IIRC.

Lets hope that is the case.

It's possible. The year long wait was for the US, so for everyone else they might get it before then.

Looks pretty cool from the trailer, but I'm a little cautious after the first season. I really liked the setting, and seeing the simple horrific reality of what life was like for an expendable sailor on a miserable old ship, totally at the mercy of the elements trying to find a route through the arctic circle that nobody could say for sure even existed. But then it fell back into more familiar horror tropes in the later episodes when the CGI monster showed up, and I just lost interest.

I was praying this second season wasn't going to pull a True Detective on us, but after reading some of those reviews I am so fucking hyped for this.
