It's also on Netflix.

If you're already a convert, watch it again.
If you haven't, give it a shot.

Those who know, know how good it is.
Those who don't, will learn soon.

Bold art style, brilliant effects, great tone, solid performances with just the right amount cheese and then some more.

May this movie continue to find its audience.

I want the Wachowskis to use what they learned from making this movie to make an F-zero movie.

The narrative beats are such garbage. You can set you watch to when one of Speed's family will pull him aside and say, "You know what Speed, I used to feel ______ but seeing you do _______ makes me feel ______." It almost feels out of place that he doesn't have an emotional speech with Chim Chim where he confesses that his feces flinging skills inspired him at a low point.

I will repeat what my 7-year-old said after watching 5 seconds. "What is this movie?! There is too much going on," then he went back to Mine Craft.

Tis a bad movie. I watched it after seeing all the hype on the forum but I just couldn't finish it...

I'm seeing this trending on Twitter and I thought we're getting a sequel or something. Had my hopes up...

I love and hate this movie. It is pure, uncut Wachowski and I have no idea how it ever got made.

Wow. I remember thinking about seeing it when it came out but negative reviews put me off seeing it. Not too long afterwards I saw it garner its own fanbase which made me regret that decision.....but 10 years later and I still haven't seen it.

Is there a possibility of a true 4k HDR remaster? Because if so I'll go buy everything I need right now.

One of my favorite movies of all time, probably due in no small part to some shroomies the first time I saw it.

Arin Hanson (GameGrumps) always talks really positively about this film, not like i think he has a particularly great taste in media or anything, but still his enthusiasm has always made me curious. One of these days i'll actually sit down to watch it.

No it didn't. It had some shitty cover that sounded fucking nothing like it. I waited the entire movie for the theme song and it never came.
You can hear it throughout Giacchino's score the entire movie for one.
And two, that shitty cover at one point stopped remixing and just straight up played it.

This movie is completely bananas and the emotional core of the whole thing doesn't quite work, but there's nothing else like it.

Having just finished watching my first 4k HDR movie (Blade Runner 2049), I would absolutely love for this to be released like that. It already looked amazing on blu-ray.

I consider myself being pretty accepting of films (I'm virtually always more prone to like a poorly-received film than dislike a well-received film); but I bought into the hype, sat down to watch it, and walked away unimpressed. The racing scenes are actually fun to watch, but everything else in between is shockingly dull and moves at a glacier's pace. I honestly don't understand the cult following it has at all.

Speed Racer is the Wachowskis at the peak of their powers. A bolder and more creative movie of this sort has yet to be made. Then again there's truly no movie of this sort other than Speed Racer. It's such an inventive movie visually and editorially, it's always throwing something at you that just feels fresh and new. I really wish it had been more successful than it was, if only because if would've emboldened the Wachs to take more chances like this.

Movie is filled with wonderful transitions, a truly unique layering style, and just a flat out fantastic, eye-melting colorful palette, with every single frame deliberately and carefully planned and staged.

But what's most important about Speed Racer is that it's a film that has real heart. A completely, truly earnest family dynamic without a hint of cynicism.

Also features an absolute classic and criminally overlooked soundtrack by Michael Giacchino as well, to boot.

When Speed is on the final lap and he hits that cliff and his mother says "...you take my breath away" I tear up real hard. Easily one of my top favorite films.

Have never understood the hype. Absolutely garbage CGI puke on a screen. I put it right up there with Transformers in terms of exhausting over-stimulation on the screen.

It doesn't matter if racing never changes. What matters is if we let racing change us. Every one of us has to find a reason to do this. You don't climb into a T-180 to be a driver. You do it because you're driven.

This movie is so good.
