It's the 3rd best selling RPG of all time, behind Diablo III (30 million copies as of 2015) and Skyrim (30 million copies as of 2016).
For a fully priced 4 years late port released in October 2019, it's not that "weak".
It looks like it's going to break a million despite releasing four years later in mid October?
In no world is that weak for 2 months of sales on a new platform.
Im just surprised how low the XBox sales of Witcher 3 are even though the marketing of this game from start was with Microsoft Xbox

FWIW, I picked up my 40h save a few weeks ago and I am having a blast. Very close to the end now. I was very apprehensive about diving back in, but I am very glad that I did.
I would assume their own platform is what gave them the most money
PC Verison moved about 12,390,000 units which accounts for about 44% of total units sold.
As for what platform was more profitable, that is up in the air. Different platforms and media distribution methods take different percentages. That would have to be something CDPR would have to divulge to the public.

Adjust your expectations for a late port of a three-year-old game on other platforms at full price. Pretty solid for a third-party game on Switch, and I think CDPR said they were pleased with the Switch version's sales. It will join the elusive Switch third party million sellers club soon, if it is not there already.
No, since it came out late last year.
Switch version is full price too while most other sales on other systems likely come from sales where you get the game for 10 bucks.
I think CDPR is happy with the performance so far.
(side note: why in the world did they go with ultra-light grey against a white background? The PC bars are almost invisible...)

They released the new financial report covering 2019. If you feel it is a clickbait go ahead and report it.
I should add 2018 as well, I forgot.
Almost a 4.5 year old game when it launched on Switch, actually. Like you said, sales were very good when taken into context.
I was about to ask what could have caused the sales to spike so much in 2019, yeah, that was probably it.
