Generally speaking as a side effect of social media people don't care about absorbing the experience in front of them, they care about talking about the experience to seem interesting.

How the fuck is that even the same? Like, what!? Imagine equating feeling emotions through an artistic piece of media and showing those emotions with your own body and language to being on your screen during a play, being called out for it and tweeting about it. What!? Seriously... WHAT!?
I am a teacher and it fucking sucks, cant take the phone away because they slip it in their pocket, cant lay a hand on them because then they yell the R word, send them to office and they back in their seat in class after 5 minutes back to pick up where they left off on fortnite trying to get a chicken dinner
Both are distractions that will cause a reduction in your ability to enjoy the entertainment being presented. Just because you feel an emotion invoked by a piece of media doesn't mean that you're compelled to express it to everyone present. Self-control is a thing. Loud and obnoxious emoting during films might be part of why total box office ticket numbers are down while home entertainment options are soaring, because people may prefer to enjoy media in their own way without the imposition of accommodating others' need to not keep their reactions to themselves.
What's ironic is that these people who claim to be expressing an uncontrollable emotion when clapping or cheering will be the same people to complain about others bringing babies into the theatres. Absolute zero self-awareness.
No because the super intendent encourages cell phones and emails staff in the entire division articles about the positives of having these devices in the classroom, they think they are using them for educational purposes my brotha, he dont realize they in a squad of four rolling together trying to get that chicken dinner
If you don't think people laughed, cheered, and clapped during Star Wars in 1977, you're massively mistaken. Cheering and reacting during movies goes back the beginning of the goddamn medium. In blockbusters I'm specific it is largely the direct intent of the filmmakers.
I don't get being like that at the theatres either but this is much worse. There's live actors in this situation
