Only allowed 4hrs in Galaxy's Edge once you secure a reservation... Wonder how that is gonna work... I mean if the Falcon ride has 2-3hr wait, and you come off, you only an hour to check out everything else...

I understand why they are doing that, but I am sure guests are going to be pissed...
Odds are I'll do everything else first then see if I can squeeze in the ride before time is up.

Also how do you enforce a time limit?

Who knows... maybe you'll need a reservation wristband, and when you go to either ride the Falcon or go to the cantina or a store, they look at your wristband...

Maybe they'll give you a wristband that flashes when your time is up and First Order stormtroopers who see that will escort you away

So, some rumors on screamscape:

1. Attractions Magazine was doing an imagineering tour in CA and there are plans to retheme the Rock N Rollercoaster in DHS to something else. Supposedly the license was for 20 yrs and so 1999 to 2019 would be 20yrs. Not sure if this is official, as Disney may look to sign a possible short term license with Aerosmith for another couple of years just to finish up the new retheme.

2. Mickey & Minnie Runaway Railway has been delayed to 2020 in FL and 2022 in CA.

Anyone else in line for reservations?

I got a reservation for June 12th for the 8pm to midnight slot.... I am going to be on vacation in Vegas starting that day, so now I have to decide if I want to fly from Vegas to LA, then get to DL and then go back to Vegas...

I doubt I'll do it, but if I change my mind, then at least I have a reservation

So I might be moving to Florida from Alabama, is there any good thorough guide about what kind of pass I should look into getting for Disney?

I remember using Mousesavers a lot whenever I'd go to Disney to make plans; they detail a whole bunch of Floridian-specific tickets (including things like one for evenings at Epcot intended for people who might go there just to eat)

Is that the Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin building? Is that on the way out, then?

Edit: Actually, Car Toon Spin might just fit in that wedge between the new building and It's A Small World? Thinking about it, it's quite compact.
Nah they'd never remove that. It's the most popular ride in that area

Hey folks. I am going to Orlando for 5 days and need some advice on which theme parks should I visit. The only park I have visited till now was Universal Studios in Singapore. Also I love roller coasters(scary and intense rides are not an issue for me basically). Any advice would be welcome.

How many of the five days are you visiting the parks?

I'd recommend both Universal parks (Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure), Magic Kingdom, SeaWorld (amazing coasters) and either Busch Gardens Tampa, Disney's Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom depending on your tastes and schedule. Definitely avoid Epcot if you're looking for excitement, though its a fun park to meander in. Top priority for me would be Universal's parks and Magic Kingdom.

When are you visiting?

I'll be visiting from 27th to 31st/1st(on the weekdays). I'm thinking of visiting atleast 3 parks. Not sure if its cheaper to shell out more money for an express pass and only visit 2 parks or to visit 3 parks without any express pass.

Also, any reason you are telling me to avoid Epcot. Does it not have any cool rides? Its funny because just from the short description I read of the Disney parks, Epcot seemed the most interesting to me.

Epcot has a few interesting attractions but it's generally very low thrill and some of the stuff there is beyond awful. Not that you'd have a bad day there or anything, but it would be near the bottom of my list.

Would prolly still advise both Universal parks and Magic Kingdom for three days.

Of May? Well you'll likely miss the opening of Hagrid by a few days which sucks.

If you love coasters and do not mind the cost you should do a full day at SeaWorld and a one day, two park pass at Universal. If you then have the time or money do Hollywood Studios as that has Tower of Terror, Rock'n'Rollercoaster, Slinky, and Star Tours.

Just a random thought, but I don't think I've ever once gone on a ride of the modern Star Tours where no one echoed the stewardess' "Buh-bye!"

Looks like easily the best thing Universal has done since FJ. Seems like it's coming at Spidey's/FJ's throne, but I wonder if there will be single rider and how disruptive the preshows will be on repeat rides.

There a single rider line. There are two preshows but I believe both are short to facilitate the high hourly capacity.

I forgot to post this in here, but I had borrowed my friends GoPro Hero 7 Black and went on the Coney Island Cyclone with it... Here is the result:

How are people making blades already? Are they allowing media into Galaxy's edge already? Also, thats a steep ass price for these sabers... I had heard they were going to be around $150...

I think thats still correct
Ahsoka's is two smaller hilts for $200 + needing 2 blades that are $45 each.

so technically that would be 1 hilt for $100ish + 1 $45 blade.

edit:
Ahsoka hilts= $200
Kylo hilt = $149
Maul hilt = $129
Vader hilt = $109

Just booked a grad trip with my brother for late June at Universal. Staying at Hard Rock so hoping to get a few early morning rides in at Hagrid's. I'm super excited even though I know it'll be madness. It'll be my brother's first time at Universal so that makes it all the more fun.

It destroys me that he'll never get to do T2-3D(or Jaws for that matter), but that new Universal Monsters shop they put in there at the former ride's exit looks amazing.

So I saw that the Disney Parks Blog is going to be broadcasting live the dedication ceremony for Galaxy's Edge next week on May 29th at 8:20pm PDT (11:20pm EDT), in case anyone wants to watch the ceremony.

MK's Space Mountain makes me sad 😞

The darkness and narrow ride vehicles mesh well to create a really thrilling sense of speed, and the layout is pretty relentless. But god it beats you to hell and back. Any chance of a full rebuild after Tron opens?

There was talk of some kind of possible update for the 50th anniversary, but I doubt it would be anything major...

I just wish it was like the DL version, with on board audio and a much nicer ride vehicle.
