This Paris Hilton cooking video is... something

I... don't know where to begin with this. She is wearing fingerless gloves throughout, even when handling raw meat. She spills all kinds of stuff on the floor. She looks like she's never used utensils before. She throws all kinds of trash and utensils in the sink. Uses an obscene amount of ingredients. Lets the pasta sit in water for ages as she does other stuff. Spills ingredients all over the stove. Why did her PR let her upload this? She claims to be a great cook that does this regularly, but she doesn't even seem to know where any of the utensils are or how the recipe works.

I saw this a while back. I love her occasional loud sighs, as if she realizes what she's actually gonna have to do next. That said, she's pretty entertaining, though probably not for the right reasons. She's probably the highlight of my Facebook feed.

This is so bizarre, it’s like zero thought went into it but it has good production values with the graphics and whatnot.

And considering she’s mega wealthy, there’s something very ‘normal’ about this, like just an average clueless person trying to throw together a lasagne.
She didn’t even washing her hands after touching the dog haha.

Still, she looks better now than she did at the height of her fame.

I got like 3 minutes into the chef video before I switched to the original, so much pausing

Most amusing part to me was the triple spatula meat technique and not knowing what ricotta cheese looks like after calling it her famous lasagna and reminiscing about helping her mom make lasagna for every holiday of the year .

Watched about half, and other than the pointlessness of the video itself, this doesn't seem any different than a complete normal person cooking a lasagna.

Aside from the weird quirks like the gloves and throwing all the junk in the sink. It obviously doesn't compare to a professional cooking video, but why would it?

I love how this video and her channel in general goes over 99% of peoples' heads. Paris is a sneaky comic genius.

Hasn't she come outright and said she bullshits a lot with her public persona because she knows people eat that shit up? I feel like she's been pretty upfront the last couple of years.

Are you not familiar with Paris Hilton? Through her brief run of modest fame her whole shtick was being supposedly dumb as bricks

She literally made an entire TV series about not being able to do regular day to day activities https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Simple_Life

I don't think she's as dumb as she comes off in the video, but to me it seems more like a Tommy Wiseau situation (pivoting your own legitimate goofiness into a schtick that's kinda real but overplayed for the camera) than a carefully crafted master plan.
