Engaging with pedophilia and child abuse in good faith is normalizing it, though. No matter your intention going into the interaction. If you don't vehemently attack outright evil behavior (because you can firmly draw a line with these things and outright call them evil), you're making it seem somewhat normal by showing that you're willing to listen to the person who's participating in that behavior. Unless you're a professional trying to help that person, you should do nothing to engage in a genuine conversation with someone about their pedophilic behaviors and/or child abuse-tendencies. They should not be made to feel that their point of view is one worthy of discussion.
As for the jobs, I have complicated feelings on the matter. Do we get to hide awful behavior behind the idea that people need jobs? Unless THQ Nordic does a complete restructuring, they're supporting the behavior of those involved in this bullshit. I understand how difficult it is to stay employed in this industry, and it's colossally unfair to the developers that are affected but had no part in this, but someone needs to be held accountable to the highest degree possible.

If firings don't happen in the next 48 hours, the place to apply pressure isn't THQN itself via a boycott that will surely fail, but Nickelodeon. Keeping this PR disaster alive and link Nickelodeon's deal with them, and something will give fast, either the firings will be forced or THQN loses one of their biggest licenses.
