Oh they're they're already doing it. This isn't a new tactic at all. I initially assumed the media wouldn't let them get away with going this far but hey looks like they are and THQ just got a lot of people talking about their brand.I initially thought, like everyone else here, that going on 8chan was an incredibly stupid idea, but after seeing how this has gone down from media, gamers, and this site even, I don't really think so anymore.
This whole thing will have resulted in a net positive for THQ Nordic and all it took was some crocodile tears and some quick deletes of tweets. Nobody is going to see any punishment or repercussions of any sort from all this. It's a pretty sad state of affairs.
The cynic in me is wondering if PR is actually going to start looking at these tactics as a legitimate way to get huge attention for their product with little to no downside.
