Not what I expected to see when waking up... Jesus Christ. The company can fucking burn for all I care, and it wouldn't surprise me that their little stunt is causing more terrorists to breed in that site like the recent one. Shout outs to Mark, in-fucking-deed. I'm now 100% for banning all THQ video game discussions until they get their fucking shit together and fire everyone involved, because by signal boosting THQ, we're going to have to signal boost 8chan and the events that transpire by association.

What horrible news to wake up to!

A thought, I'm one of those who didn't know about this sick website I won't mention anymore before I read about it here, is it wise to keep talking about it? Might just cause more sick people to gather up there, maybe a website ban/censor is better than seeing it essentially being advertised on the top page all the time?

I feel like it's time for the forum admins and moderators to take action and ban THQN everything from Resetera. If we can't draw a line against supporting a video game company that intentionally holds an AMA in a site that supports islamophobic mass killings and child pornography, then we are lost as gamers, Resterans, and human beings. Might as well be the old site at this point.

There are at least 40 people dead.
40 people dead by actions of nazis with close relations to the site THQ Nordic's people they "took the opportunity" to normalize.

This is more important than videogames ("i want muh gamez" sick mentality) and i want to believe that the personel of THQ and associate companies feels as terrible as most of us feel now.
I want to think that they are waiting for the removal of the horrible participants of this "event" and for any redeeming action their companies put forward along with the rest of us.

There can be no defense over this.

Banning games and the advertisements of their games and only letting threads like this exist is *not* ignoring it and letting it blow over. It is directly calling them out. It is killing their advertising while calling issue to their support of child porn, white supremacy, racism, and mass murder.

TL;DR THQ's PR manager decided to hold an AMA on 8/v/, people now rightfully point out that he was signal boosting a site that is implicated in a mass shooting.

Too late. It blown over. No site took an hard stance on it yet. A few writers wrote something indeed but it didnt go past that.

THQN is counting on it. They are counting on people's apathy to revisit old topics. Instead of acting as if this was old news, let every new PR move be haunted by what they did. Maybe mandate Thread titles to include: Known white supremacist and pedo porn sympathisers announce...

They are counting on this blowing over through general apathy. I am advocating the only signal boosting they're getting on this site to be about this shit first and foremost. New threads for new news. This thread can't be forgotten if every thread regarding a THQN game is locked and this thread is linked, with an explanation that we will not allow OTs, promotional threads or otherwise normalize THQN's output until certain criteria are met. Threadmarks will be ignored, thread locks will not.

Thread locks disappear from the front page within minutes if not seconds. It achieves the same thing. THQN getting away with their tactic. Instead keep the active discussion on all their PR incentives on point. Don't let them deviate or control the narrative here. By linking this thread you create the impression that this whole thing is old news, and that's exactly what they want. To bury this under the normal apathy of time passed.

Edit: Linking this thread as a reference should be mandatory in every THQN thread going forward, as well as a comprehensive summary in every OP and mention in thread titles.

I'm not a big fan of boycotts as the other hard workers in the company shouldn't suffer. But this should be a exception.

Cosigning a move to ban all discussion of THQ Nordic titles in perpetuity on here. If we can't even do this shit we're effectively saying we can't do ANYTHING to combat hate in the games space-- abdicating all responsibility to try for a better gaming community, in effect. If even THIS is beyond us, then what's the point of the rules and the bans we've had so far? If at the end of the day there's no moral line that's too far to cross past which shallow, consumerist hobby materials don't matter anymore... how do we expect to make the culture around games anything better than utter dogshit?

To take things to the next step and boycott all non-union and independent software. The whole damn industry looks the other way to this and the only way to make them care is not buy their products and tell everyone why.

With their AMA presence they normalized a hate group and seemed to agree and empower some of the comments of the said hate group. I am sure they never wanted anyone to be killed yet they were talking friendly to pedophiles and neonazis -people that want to molest children and exterminate everyone that does not agree with them.
They are more than twice the effin stupid than you think but they still have their effin jobs.

Normally I'm against banning something just because a bad person was loosely connected to it. But then I saw some of those reactions on 8chan on a screenshot...
