Well, yeah that would be ideal, but that won't happen. Just look at the company they're keeping.
I'll add my suggestion on what to do about a possible THQN boycott here:
Whenever they plan to announce/release something, the mods sticky a post summarizing why they are not allowing discussion of the topic. That way it won't get buried or cluttered by trolls every time it gets brought up.

I would like to think this would lead to increased pressure from the gaming press, but at this point I know that's unlikely to happen given how it was handled the first time around.
Personally, I'll still support Shenmue because I feel like this is Yu Suzuki's last chance at reviving his career and he really has nothing to do with the garbage decisions of THQ. I hope he can sever his ties with them after this because I personally couldn't support anything going forward. Sega fucked up with pawning this off. They didn't really believe in Shenmue in the first place so it was to be expected.
Buy the official Japanese version then pirate the English version. You get to play your Shenmue 3 without giving a cent to THQ Nordic.
But seriously, fuck THQ Nordic. I think after this tragic incident, it's definitely worth it for mods to reconsider banning the games by THQ Nordic.

This is not even about me buying Shenmue 3, it just hurts to see it get involved in this shit just because SEGA was too fucking dumb to capitalize on that clear E3 hype.

I don't think THQN/Deep Silver game discussion should be banned (though I think disclaimers in threads about their games should be mandatory and enforced by moderation), but I don't blame any who does, especially after this turn of events.
I don't, these people promoted something vile and to the best of my knowledge still got to keep their jobs. In public, I'm sure those involved will act remorseful, but I highly dought they are not what they seem or that they give a shit about any of this. They need to be fired.
In my view they're complicit unless they publicly condemn the actions and call for consequences for those responsible.

Shenmue IP is owned by Sega, so yes they are involved. They licensed the IP to Deep Silver for Shenmue III.
Who gives a fuck about games, people are dying because of the toxicity being spread and support being shown from corporations like this. Yu & others should bail out or condemn their backers.
Aren't you forgetting all Koch Media published games? I don't see the difference between Koch Media and Deep Silver.

THQ Nordic is listed as the game's publisher on Steam as well. I removed it from my wishlist within minutes of this thread's creation for that reason.
I agree with this, if they are banned outright people will forget or won't even realise THQ are involved with a game, especially the retail only releases.
While this stinking fart is left to hang in the air everyone should be reminded who dealt it.
No, the IP is licenced to Yu Suzuki and Ys Net. Deep Silver picked up the game in mid-2017 for publishing.
I'm on board. Shenmue III is going to hurt, but platforming this hateful shit has consequences and THQ needs to understand that.
It's possible to have empathy for those not involved in this mess while still feeling like action should be taken. Hate and a lack of empathy for others are what caused that shooting in the first place. I say that as a Muslim man who has refused to go into a mosque for the last 3 years out of fear and because of our current climate.

I agree. What is done is done though - I think the people responsible for that PR clusterfuck will have learnt a very bitter lesson by now. Not equating anything with the actual incident - that's beyond comprehension.
I know some ISPs have already banned 8chan since they were exposed to be linked to child pornography, but yeah, more ISPs need to start taking action.
Sadly, that's not enough anymore. If they need help i hope THQ will do something to help them but they have to be removed from the company.

They are also publishing the console ports of Pillars of Eternity 2 including the upcoming Switch port.
As much as I hate to say this... Deep Silver is also the publisher for Outward, my most anticipated title this year.
Dont ban discussion on THQ Nordic games ffs just have a disclaimer, by definition banning discussion of the games you will be fueling the nazi fire
