Tbf, they said darker than what it currently is. That can mean a whole number of things.
Don't get me wrong, this gamble isn't going to work and I suspect Flash will be shooting later this year without Miller.
Darker than what is reported to be a pretty light hearted script can mean a number of things lol
People sleeping on Morrison, the dude loves embracing all aspects of comics. He's not going to write a depressing Flash film.
People are really jumping to crazy conclusions based on one line?
"Dark" doesn't have to mean grim dark and depressing, and I doubt Grant Morrison would be working on something like that.

Ezra is just the facilitator. He may have input but Morrison is the one who understands how to write and structure superhero stories.
In the light that these are DCs tent pole heroes, movies with all of them together were expected to be rather sure billion earners.
Only if they use Morrison's run as inspiration, and not say, Lemire's run from a few years ago. Animal Man coming out of the film and meeting the director on set mid-film would be amazing.
I'm curious to see what comes of this. Other than his running being god awful in Justice League, and man was it bad, I didn't mind his as Flash. Just that god awful running...
Shazam looks goofy, but it's a teenage boy wishing to be a badass superhero being beaten up by Mark Strong. Parts of that film are going to be pretty dark.
This movie can't catch a break. It was originally supposed to be out last year and they're still working on (dueling) scripts.

well Morrison's animal man ended with talking about the first Crisis, right? an animal man movie that led to somebody having an existential crisis about the uncertainty of living in a movie series that doesn't know what it wants to be would be amaaaazing.
