The David Fincher version of Girl With a Dragon Tattoo

All 4 Scream movies are great mysteries.

Plus One is a lot like Coherence and it's a lot of fun

THIS! Still my fav Coen's bro film and over the years I probably have seen it at least 10 times. It's a flat out perfect movie.

"The world is full o' complainers. An' the fact is, nothin' comes with a guarantee. Now I don't care if you're the pope of Rome, President of the United States or Man of the Year; somethin' can all go wrong. Now go on ahead, y'know, complain, tell your problems to your neighbor, ask for help, 'n watch him fly. Now, in Russia, they got it mapped out so that everyone pulls for everyone else... that's the theory, anyway. But what I know about is Texas, an' down here... you're on your own. "

*Just a side not you see a lot of Sam Raimi influence in Blood Simple and Raising Arizona regarding the camera work.

Because I think I have seen most classics in the 90's and I'm not fond of super old movies. It's most possible that I missed some good movies the last 2 decades imo

Where Body Double tho?

You gotta ease em in to De Palma, breh, you can't throw them straight into the deep end or their minds won't be able to handle it.

First you dangle Mission Impossible, Carrie, or The Untouchables as bait for the uninitiated, then you hook them with Blow Out. Then you can show them Dressed to Kill, and only after they've proven worthy of such sleaze can you whip out Body Double.

You see what I mean? You throw them in too fast and this is what it does to them! They say things about which they don't understand

I'll give you one from every year since '96:

Primal Fear (1996)
The Game (1997)
A Perfect Murder (1998)
Double Jeopardy (1999)
What Lies Beneath (2000)
The Others (2001)
Phone Booth (2002)
Five Little Pigs (2003)
Death on the Nile (2004)
A Murder is Announced (2005)
By the Pricking of My Thumbs (2006)
Zodiac (2007)
Taken (2008)
Orphan (2009)
The Pale Horse (2010)
Limitless (2011)
Contraband (2012)
Endless Night (2013)
Foxcatcher (2014)
And Then There Were None (2015)
Witness for the Prosecution (2016)
Crooked House (2017)

I know! I want someone to watch it without being spoiled. I think it's probably a very effective thriller.
I watched it on cable soon after it came out. It was very effective, but especially for its time. And especially this whole sequence. (OP, do NOT watch this video)...

One of my favorites is very unconventional, and you may hate it, but I found it incredibly effective. The movie is "La Moustache" and the premise is very simple: a man shaves his moustache and nobody notices, and calls him crazy for thinking that he had one. Such a simple premise and I won't say anything more but I recommend everyone here check it out with an open mind.

After that I would also recommend Cache from Michael Haneke.

Confessions is a really good thriller.
The Killing of a Sacred Deer kinda fits the whole mystery and thriller.
Marathon Man/Angel Heart weren't mentioned and they are pretty decent.
The Pledge is a 90's Nicholson movie made by Sean Penn and its a pretty cool murder mystery.
Obsession is a good De Palma sometimes forgotten. Just watch all his movies 'cause they are all good.

Mother! - Kept me on the edge of my seat and was probably my favorite movie in 2017. I think it's best to go into this movie completely blind.

Creep - Really enjoyable indie horror thriller.
