I'm relieved this isn't out on consoles yet as I'd have trouble choosing between this, the Spider-Man DLC and Red Dead. Can't wait to play it in December though.

Does this game have lots of exclusive cards/mechanics that are not in the multiplayer Gwent?
Well it's a card game so good I guess? Hard to not be good I'd think. You can just launch Gwent for free since as far as I can tell it runs on the same engine. There's the whole worldmap adventure thing but since that has barely anything going on, I doubt it's much more demanding than the minimum specs. FPS isn't going to be a big concern either since there isn't really any action or even animated stuff going on.
As someone with the Witcher-series on my to-play-list, I'm wondering if this spoils any moments in the series to any significant degree. Might be too early to tell for those that are just starting the game, but maybe a developer or journalist has commented on it. Anyone know?

Screenshots don't do this game justice, damn. I'll give it a try anyway.
There are some similar cards, but most of them are tweaked for a story-related reasons. Combat is based on the same rules as a current revamped version of Gwent.
You can play in adventure mode which let's you skip battles.I loved gwent in W3, but i didnt find it that amusing in went card game. i enjoyed the simplicity in W3 minigame.. shame :/ i might just bail on this

Really? I saw a video of this and it looks like there were only two ranks to deploy cards onto as opposed to three for Gwent. Has Gwent been significantly reworked since I saw it last?In terms of overall mechanics, basically yeah (Gwent is getting an update the same day). But there will be lots of different card effects and puzzles that won't exist in standalone Gwent for reasons like balance or just because it doesn't fit a multiplayer setting.
it's a 20-30 hours story with choices and whatnot!Damn I thought it's just a card game, it has stories and side quests? Wil check it out
please pleeease someone tell me it has full controller support on pc! loving what i see
It has. Played it yesterday on my TV, using only an XBox-Controller. Played fine, I guess. Great game.please pleeease someone tell me it has full controller support on pc! loving what i see
Anyone have any idea if they'll be doing a physical release for consoles? The physical PC release looks fantastic.
Full controller support, yes. Although they should really add options for sensitivity.please pleeease someone tell me it has full controller support on pc! loving what i see
Happened to me as well. One of the golden chests has bugged for me, when I opened it it said it failed to add the card to my Gwent account. So now I can't get premium elf soup in Gwent :(
I guess it's mostly exploring and enjoying the story. You can still do the battles/puzzles but you have the option to skip them if I understood that correctly. What is the adventure mode thing? If battles arent done with cards when what do you do in the game?
i just received the email from GOG, i thought they release the game at same day on PS4
prefer to play on console at the moment, not sure why they potspone it to December :(
whatever, i'll wait, hope i won't stumble upon spoilers
