It can happen unfortunately. A friend of mine suffered a stroke last year and she's 25. Thankfully it was minor and her recovery is going well but it doesn't only happen to older folks.

There are a few conditions where strokes can occur in younger people, like atrial fibrillation or structural heart disease.

My sister-in-law's boyfriend had a diabetic-related stroke a few years ago, and you wouldn't have known anything would have happened to him now. A big part of this is what kind of stroke it was, what caused it, how fast he was treated, etc.

I also think it's fucking ghoulish and sick that TMZ reports on this kind of thing. People's health, even celebrities, are a personal thing. Imagine being a friend of Luke's and finding out this happened through a fucking TMZ article.

He has literally been on the cover of AARP, so in some sense he is relatively not young. 50 is still a young age to have this stuff happen but he is up there.
