I think there's a major difference between being a social media diva and self-centered ass, and being an accused rapist.
I really don't know how to read those emails. It kind of reads like he's mocking her claims and saying she's lying about them. I don't see how those can be used as proof of anything.

While all accusations like this deserve to be take seriously, there a whiff of...something off about this case. Especially given the timing of all of this. I think people should refrain from calling to basically end his career without first letting substantial evidence be presented first. Screenshots of emails and texts isn't substantial evidence btw.

Because this is a civil lawsuit (no criminal charges needed and lower burden of proof to prevail,) there is diversity between the parties (i.e. they live in different jurisdictions,) and the amount in controversy exceeds $75,000.

Yeah it's hard to disagree with any of that. Makes you wonder why they even signed him to begin with.
I'm not sure the Patriots will do much before they have a chance to evaluate everything. Their lawyers will probably be talking to everyone else's lawyers. It should be pretty clear if there's smoke here and it probably doesn't have to be much to make them get rid of him.
I'm guessing either
1) This has been a known issue under the covers regarding AB and it has been vetted by lawyers of team(s) determining authenticity
2) Nobody knew about it till the story broke
