I really doubt we are going to get a sequel which is a shame because the sessions make for probably my favourite JRPG battle system.
Good thing we're getting it, then.I enjoyed this game a lot, but unskippable sessions ruined it for me. Such a huge oversight. I eventually gave up in last dungeon because My desire to see the end didn't outweigh my lack of patience every battle.
Hope we get a port that adds a skip button. Also game definitely deserves to get a sequel but think that is unlikely. And I would definitely rather get smtv over #fe2.
feasible? sure...So, how feasible is it for Atlus/Nintendo to do a port for the Switch? Has Nintendo said anything regarding porting stuff from the Wii U to the Switch?
I'd agree with this. This was the best RPG of last gen.
Better than Persona 5 honestly.
I'm with you in that I liked it better than persona 5. Persona 5 is cool in its own ways but TMS just hit all the right notes to me.This was the best RPG of last gen.

Should work fine since the Switch screen is a touch screen, just requires an additional menu to get to. Which could be solved with a multi press command. Like ZR + X or something.
No, don't get me wrong. Persona 5 has what I think is the best presentation out of any current-gen RPG, Japanese or otherwise - art, music, character design, they all hit the absolute right notes. If the game were more focused on battles rather than socialising, if the story were more focused period, if the game was shorter...then it would have been up to the same heavenly standard as Persona 3 and SMT: Nocturne. But, as it is, it's just too much grind, too much busywork, and too much Morgana telling you to sleep, which knocks it down quite a distance from its predecessors. It's not by any means a bad game, though, and as long as you take your time finishing it, and don't get distracted or bored by it in the meantime, it can be a great experience.Yup. It's interesting how Poorsona 5 has mostly been forgotten about, yet TMS continues to INSPIRE passionate discussion.
This game, Mario 3DW, Toad... all games i didn't get on the WiiU, and i'd surely pick them up on the Switch if they ported them.
I really enjoyed this game on the Wii U. I loved the visuals, dungeons and especially the battle system. I think it's probably my favorite battle system last/this gen. I hope they port it over to the Switch so more people can enjoy this little gem. I would also pay 60 again to enjoy it again.
So much that I'd certainly pick it up for Switch if it ever makes it over.
The battle system in this game was sublime. The dungeons felt like a bit of a slog sometimes, but combat was a joy, leading to a great experience. If it gets ported to Switch I would like to see a more convenient way to unlock carnage and skills, to reduce backtracking. Also, let us switch out Itsuki. Battle subtitles would be cool too. They could also include the DLC. Not sure what the localization changes were...? But if that's something that bugged people maybe they could look at that for the port. No region locking would probably make this less important I guess.
Do you remember the 2nd or so dungeon with the photo model stuff as a theme? In the original the models were something that resemble a borderline pornography kind of thing. I don't think this would fly so easily in the western hemisphere so it was the right call to change that.
The story still works regardless, even if the reactions of the protagonists on this topic make more sense in the original.
Also there were some fanservicey, optional hot springs scenes as a DLC which weren't in the localized version, if I remember correctly.
