Pretty pleased with performance overall. Played through a little bit and getting some nice smooth performance with dx12. My aging cpu is definitely a bottleneck though. Will be buying new ryzen cpu when they come out. Currently running overclocked Vega 56 and very pleased with it.

Thanks for this, what settings is your OC at? My card is currently running 1650/950 as a daily driver.

On another note medium quality settings @ 75% 1080p seem good for my laptop with a 950m for 30FPS.

DX 12 performs worse and crashes like crazy for me on a 6600/1070. DX11 crashes as well but nowhere near as frequently.

At times, I'm getting a kind of stutter where the game almost freezes for a few seconds, as if it's struggling to load the level assets. No amount of tinkering with the graphics settings from high to low can eliminate it.

Any suggestions? Possibly the DX 12 render?

P7 is set to 1642mhz and hbm is 900mhz, bit of an undervolt on there also, sorry not at PC to get exact mv.

the game is running so much better for me vs the open beta. i was getting dips during explosions and the white house would drop framerate to about 50-55fps. rocksolid 60fps in all situations now.

i have a 6700K,32GB RAM, AND RTX 2080. using the latest version of windows 10 pro and nvidia drivers. all settings are maxed out. there are two settings that you can increase (object detail or something like that?) but i've left them on default. i'm running at 1440p 60fps and using DX12 renderer.

this is my in game DX11 benchmark result:

and the DX12 result:

Realized I only posted in the beta thread. Runs really well on my system. 970, 4690k, 16gb ram, SSD. I can hit 1080/60 in just about all areas with some tweaking, but there are a few areas that will give me drops regardless (specifically DZ-east and the big open space in front of the Capitol/next to the Castle settlement). Dated system, so I'm not even gonna try to iron it out. Runs well enough 99% of the time.

I've opted to tweak the resolution scaling to 85% to be able to set a few graphics options higher than I'd otherwise would be able to. I can't discern any difference between 100% and 85% resolution scaling without getting my nose pressed up against the monitor, so it's a worthwhile trade-off.

As you're at 1440, make sure to try resolution scale at 85%. You shouldn't be able to notice a difference and it should give you +10fps.

But if you're already locked at 60 and getting no dips there's probably no point.

Best option in the game, it's like a free +10fps.

Damn, I totally fucked up, bought a region locked version of this on G2A and the only language options when downloading it are Russian and another one I'm not sure of. Once it was downloaded there was no way that i could see to change it to English. No English language file to be found in the game folder. I can get into the game just fine but I can't read any of it. I've purchased region locked stuff in the past and have been able to install with a VPN no prob but this language/region lock is a first. Not sure what to do now. Can't get a refund because I've used the key and I contacted UBI and they told me there was nothing they could do and told me to contact G2A lol. Anyone happen to know of a way around this? So bummed :(

Yeah, Eastern European Uplay keys are language-locked (this no longer also applies to the Steam versions of Uplay games, though, oddly enough). As best I can tell, there's nothing you can do in this case but consider it a lesson learned.

I think this is a server issue. No amount of tinkering will help here.

Also, gsync doesn't seem to be working for me in this game. My Asus monitor light is red indicating gsync isn't active, turns white and works in every other game I have.

Running this on a 1440p monitor is going to be an adventure for me I think....looking forward to the challenge.

MSI GP63 Laptop
I7 8750 Processor
16GB RAM
Nvidia 1060 6GB GeForce video card
Connect to a Samsung Curved 1440p monitor
Installed on a SSD HD

Quick update. Really impressed how well this laptop can run this game. Game defaulted to high settings (DX 12) and all I did was change the resolution scale to 85% and I got the below results. Tempted to lower the shadow settings though.

It may be because I'm at 85% resolution scaling but I'm almost always over 100 fps at 1440p. I may hook it up to my oled and see what performance I can get at 4k.

16 gb ram @ 3000

Hmm, was running beautifully yesterday no issues at all but have had three crashes in the last 20 minutes now after it updated earlier.

Is it just me, or does the game have horrible aliasing/blurring around hair and foliage at 1080p all settings maxed? Can get it to look much better by running at 1440 and it downscaling on my 1080p monitor.

When playing the division 1 last week maxed at 1080 I don't remember it looking so bad.

I5 6600K, Vega 64, the game runs great and smooth on DX12, but I crash often, while on DX11 no crash, but it runs quite worse and stutters a lot. I hope they fix the crashes on DX12 soon.

I7 3930K stock
16 gb quad channel ram
Aorus Extreme 1080 ti

My issue is the menu laggs TERRIBLY!

This game can look so ugly at times. Look at those shadows. This is at everything ultra / 1440p:

Agreed. I'm sure the technical aspects of the lighting are good, but the way everything is designed sets the visuals up for failure most of the time. There are some conditions where the game can look spectacular, but the time of day and lack of depth makes everything look flat 99% of the time.

Game runs really well for me, but has anyone else gotten random crashes? Got one during a matchmaking mission another guy in my group did as well.

I did the same. Exact same rig.
Hooked it up to my C8. Don't think I can go back.
Everything maxed (AO set to High/HBAO+)
HDR On
60-80 FPS. 75% Scaler. Looks incredible.

Any move from HDD to SSD? Is it worth it? Load times arent an issue, but streaming may be the cause of my odd 58/59/60 fps occassionally.

I haven't read the thread and don't own the game but I'm curious, is ridiculous cpu usage a problem in all Ubi games of late or is it just an AC problem?

More and more Ubisoft games are taking advatage of more cores. It's not really a problem but an effect of games doing more in the background and needed more threads.
