I imagine this would be F2P to some degree, if only to supply the number of players it would take to keep all those maps in active rotation.

If it's free to play, there's a segment that will never buy the game. Call of duty does it and now halo is doing it. Relying on the premium experience only isn't smart nowadays

This is a good point and another one that makes me think this is fake. I hope at least it's a standalone F2P thing, at least, so it can be removed if the install gets too big.
In the main CQ mode, there will be sectors on the map with cqc focus so you can just avoid those areas.

Good for what, is the thing. Rush maps haven't been good since BF3. And it's pretty hard to get CQ and Rush right on the same map so maybe it's better to borrow from the past.
