It doesn't mean anything in terms of the deal, but Tom is saying he doesn't want to leave.
They only have the rights for animated series for Spidey. Animated films and live action films are Sony.
so if they split an animated pixar movie into 3 parts and call it a mini series (released on d+), they would be fine?

The rumour is that the deal is done. Tons of reports floating around, I believe that a deal is done no matter what rumours, reports etc are saying.

Again, I am not doubting they will reach a deal. It is beneficial to both parties to do so. But there is a difference between "I think they will do it" and "There are dozens of bullshit clickbait sites and channels saying it is done."
Once a reputable source chimes in, then I will start to believe.
