edit: slow to post tweet

Looking forward to see where they go after the last one, I think the Gone Home style DLC without any combat stood out more to me than the rest of the actual game

I wonder if it'll be one of those announcement of an announcement type deals.

3-2-1... 13 second trailer... More at E3!

Hell yeah! Makes sense that they'd tie this with the release of the new movie. Can't wait! The new Tomb Raider was one of my favorite games last gen, and the same goes for Rise of the Tomb Raider with this gen.

I'm a fan of the gameplay formula of the previous two, so I'm in, but hopefully the writing will be better this time. I don't need a compelling story, I just need likeable characters and a well paced treasure hunt, regardless of how crappy or convoluted it gets.

YEAAAAAAAA!!! I don't usually say fuck the haters but yo. Fuck the haters, I love the new Tomb Raider series. The first one had a lil too much torture porn in it, but that went away for the second game.

Fully ready for Lara Croft: (Pick)Axe Murderer.

Don't start this console wars bullshit
Ehhh. There's evidence of what he's talking about in threads all over the place. If you don't help shut that down, don't act dumb when people poke fun. I doubt JC cares whether it's coming to Switch or not.

I would pay all the money for an old Lara game. I'll settle if she loses the ability to disintegrate every structure she walks on.

I find it kind of funny how Lara’s origin story was a trilogy in itself. Does this mean it’s going to be a 9 part series?

We know the name.
We know the release date.

We know it'll be awesome. I've been a Tomb Raider fan since the first game, and while the recent series is certainly a departure in many ways, I haven't felt such a rush in a Tomb Raider game for a long time. I'm certain this will be a fitting conclusion (?) to the trilogy. And if they build it from the ground up with the Xbox One X/PS4 Pro in mind, it'll look insane I bet. Can't wait, end of the year is going to be huge.

The HTML features:

"platforms":["xbox one","ps4","pc"]

But that doesn't necessarily prove anything. That said, I think there's a decent chance the game will launch same day on all three platforms, with MS snagging a marketing deal for "POWER OF THE X" bragging rights.

I wonder if this'll be the Star Trek Beyond of the Origin Trilogy - as in more in the spirit of Classic Tomb Raider but it'll somehow make me pine for Rise of the Tomb Raider despite that game retreading the first game :m

Nice! I loved the first two games, so I'm definitely excited for this one. Also, it's pretty funny how RoTR is still used as a benchmark for performance. That game is gorgeous.

Cool, this is the one not being made by Crystal Dynamics right? Hopefully the new studio will take more influences from the original games and not have any ‘daddy issues’ bollocks.

Also please get a new, competent voice actress for Lara.
