My main issue with Rolf is that you get him at the same time Shinon and because both of those dudes turn out great, I would rather just go the easier route and use the one that's a higher level.

Also, on another random Radiant Dawn note, Mordecai is an underrated unit. He's not amazing and I wouldn't bring him to endgame, but that dude starts with just a stupid amount of defense and makes for a very nice wall especially at the end of part 2
BLACK CLOVER CHARACTER OF THE DAY: "XERX LUGNER"
I've been dreading getting this one and almost skipped it but this is for the "Xerx" who appeared to join Asta's team in the DOTA clone they are playing. He's got a mask with teeth on it like he's baby bowser. He's the vice captain of the Purple Orcas which means he's probably going to stab Asta in the back. His dad was a magic knight. His favorite hobbies are going all punisher on Magic Knights who abuse their position and making fun of Asta.

His character arc is predictable but not bad by Black Clover standards. The flashbacks lay out pretty clearly that Zora's dad was friends with the Wizard King and being the first common born knight would have stirred some heinous shit in an awful society like this one. The later reveal of him being a Black Bull all along is a little hamfisted; you think when the Wizard King tells him he should put on his real robes that he should talk to Yami and get dispensation for it but nope, like Gauche he just met Yami one day and was recruited when he was doing his vigilante nonsense. It's a treat either way to hear JYB have this much fun being a total edgelord.
The real hidden champ of the non royal Laguz is Volug. Amazing stat caps on that boy.
The real mvp of RD will always be the 3-13 Archer and his noble quest to hold that green line.

I think my favorite sub-genera of manga is the "horny technical manual" which is a horny manga that is also super technical about a specific subject where you actually learn something. Food Wars is a great example, there is this great Yuri manga that is all about frame data in fighting games, I once read a really porn-y BL that was a great guide for developing black-and-white photographs

The first thing is how Ike and Elincia somehow don't get together, and that's amazing. Not only do they not get together, Ike leaves the continent of Tellius. Ike just leaves the continent and becomes a hero of legend.

Lastly, I think about how much I regret not holding onto those games. I had them, but sold them for cheap cash. ;_;

Having 100%'d Symphony of the Night right before work yesterday, I feel like it suffers the same unique problem I have with Skies of Arcadia. Both are games I appreciate & understand why they have following, but I feel like I waited way too long to actually play them, thus I think I built up a bit too high expectations due to their legacies, not to mention I have waaay more games to compare them to, thus making some of their flaws stand out a bit more. Had I played them when I was younger, I think they would've had more impact on me in terms of overall enjoyment, but at the very least, I can still respect them knowing what they've done & knowing a younger me would've still really liked it.

Shinon always ended up being my best unit in RD. I think he had a skill that would draw enemy aggro, and then he would dodge every attack. I would always give him a killer bow and watch him shred everything. Ike, Haar, Mia, and Nephenee were always amazing as well. Pretty much everyone in Ike's crew was, while the Dawn Brigade always struggled...Made things interesting when they inevitably met on the battlefield.
The Dawn Brigade were mostly a bunch of chumps in RD.
The biggest example of this, as much as I like the character, is Sothe. Who has grown up, and seemingly turned into a badass, but generally isn't good after the first part of the game.
To top it all off Volke joins you late game, and he's just all around better than Sothe.

I've played Radiant Dawn tons of times, and while most characters can be usable, Edward was the only one who was somewhat consistently reliable, and even then there are plenty of other swordmasters.
Only two episodes so far but it seems to be following the manga which is good.
Tormod is like the coolest on paper character in PoR/RD and gets kinda screwed in both by availability
It's pretty hilarious how he shows up in one of the last missions in RD with his Act 1 stats and thinks he's gonna do something.
