Thanks

Morlas ! Not the whole thing Toonami, but might as well get a few shows in there, ha.
Might as well hit a few thoughts while here:
-> Kai: I never remember the Post Yamcha but Pre Goku moments much, lol. Having watched a bit of Dragonball Movies lately, Chaotzu's sacrifice feels even odder. "Man, ain't you Royalty or something?!? Command Tien to blow HIMSELF up!"
-> Roshi: This feels especially weird because it's BEEN SO LONG since original Dragonball. Compared to Dragonball, this is definitely a throwback to... other... times. But Z tosses so much of this style of 80's anime humor out the window, that this feels more like something inserted by a horny Jr. that doesn't understand the serious legacy of Dragon Ball Z, rather than something that always existed in the Dragonball-born timeline. The thing that got me the most was how casual everyone else is about Yurin and Roshi's situation. Goku walks right in, and... assumes... what, now?
Yurin herself (quite the unfortunate name for a world audience, poor girl) reminds me of a design I'd see in Dragon Quest or Blue Dragon, so I actually like her being there. I rather like Toriyama-style female characters.
But ultimately, this wasn't all handled well, but I always enjoy when we get to see more grounded martial arts settings in DB (though could have done more with this), I like it when Roshi gets to remind us of his "masterful human" power levels / insight, and I like Tien doing stuff. But man, this could use some improvement passes, lol. Even the classic "Master acts like a buffoon, but has reason to his madness!" trope would have been appreciated here. They failed as badly as Roshi's reflected Kamehameha.
-> MOB!: So many beats feel like OPM, but... yeah, I don't mind that. Mob getting pretty REAL feels like what I want out of my more mature shows of this block. Sensibly edgy, decently insightful, with something worth saying or thinking about. Beautifully animated when it needs to be, with a fun hook.
RagnarokX I definitely appreciate the Akane allusion during the haircut, lol. *RespectKnuckles*
-> JoJo!: I don't mind Vic Kishihe. Dare I say this is a bit closer to what I expected Rohan to sound like? I'm a bit used to the JP, but it's been long enough since I've watched this one, and US JoJo seems to view the characters a bit different than the JP usually does. So I can deal with this. I thought he sold Rohan's personality, lack of normal concern, and oddball craziness well. Okayasu and his brother were a bit more shocking to me, honestly.
-> HunHun: Hm. This might be one of few episodes where the drama, hanging onto situations, and the way they like to play with expectations, actually WORKED for me. Youpi's situation actually seemed decently developed. I could believe his turn, and the personality around it was actually sensible. Knov's descent into a quivering pile is equal parts overly hammy and fine for the world. The fact he's still helping and working within the grounds works to balance it all out.

Anywho, Watched Megalobox during it's JP premiere, have no issues seeing it again with a dub. Still find myself humming the end theme sometimes. A nice, Nostalgic Ashita-No-Show that should be fun to see on US TV.
