This looks like a serious throwback to the original, so many scenes seemed to have been taken directly out of it. I'm intrigued although not fully on board. To get really excited I'm gonna have to get a BTS video on how they used real fighter planes and that this movie isn't just a bunch of CGI shit.

I watched the original SO many times as a kid... kind of curious what the plot is supposed to be.
Hopefully it's suitably cheesy but filled with cool Cruise stunts.

God I wish they'd have gotten some of the of the Tomcats out of mothball for this. I just can't be hyped by the Super Hornet.
He was already a pilot I believe.. but word is he "didn't" fly these.. I wonder if someone let him have the stick for a minute or two though.

Didn't the OG Hornet lose against the F-16 during the prototype phase and given to the Navy because it fulfilled the two engine requirement? The F-14 could probably still outfly the Hornet.
