Well, there's a number 1 sign on it which represents Line 1. Not the end of the day. But why are they still using the old train? Can't use the new one?
It's annoying if your friend is like "meet at St. Andrew" and you're trying to remember if it's off St. George or Yonge.
Yeah, I tweeted a complaint about them to the TTC.
Yeah I've ridden on a new train on Line 2 before. It seemed to have been a fluke occurrence though, probably because they were going to a train yard or something? The Line 1 trains have higher capacity and support Automatic Train Control. Line 1 itself doesn't actually support ATC yet but that work is being done. The old trains on Line 2 aren't actually that old and still have plenty of useful life in them. In any case Line 2 doesn't support ATC so it can't realize a lot of the benefit of the newer trains anyway.
The new trains are totally capable of running on Line 2.
