You're more than free to ignore it but this kind of inconsequential stuff is what adds to the bigger picture of this man, this administration and this legacy. This is stuff that needs to be recorded for posterity so that nobody in the future of the human race tries to delude people into thinking Trump was anything else but a monster. The issue with current news outlets isn't that they report Trump's vileness; it's that they barely try to counter it with messaging from the only slightly empathetic political party in our country. They can and should put out this news but they need to stop bringing on liberals and republicans to both comment on and battle over it. News should just have a running tally of this shit and spend the rest of their time writing or filming on progressive politicians and their goals.
He will never stop talking (lying) about this. Losing the popular vote is a permanent bruise.

I started watching the order last night on Netflix and one of the main characters says this exact thing to some dude trying to start a bar fight. Did not expect TWO micro penis references in one day.
The FOX cultists are trying to shit on Arnold for not being deferential enough to Mango Mussolini, but most of them can only complain about him banging the help behind his wife's back. The total lack of self awareness is breathtaking.
A) No one's claimed that. You may feel like that's how he's been treated, but no one's come out and said he's never done anything negative. Maybe Meghan I guess but she's his daughter so what would you want from her?
B) He's labeled a hero because of his military service, like literally every other service member in the US military. McCain isn't being given any special treatment in regards to the "hero" label being applied to him that isn't applied to other vets. And given his story of what he did in Vietnam while captured that tends to get amplified.
C) Now it seems like you're getting to a level of pettiness because you're concerned McCain looks too good by comparison to Trump. When honestly a pile of shit looks better when compared to Trump. Who cares if he looks good in comparison to a petulant man-child?
D) Maybe you've heard of a guy by the name of Richard Nixon? But again, who the hell cares? Trump's going to be forever mocked and his inevitable death will almost certainly be celebrated throughout the country. If you're worried about someone getting the Margret Thatcher treatment (and really why would you be?) you'll get it with Trump.
The base that loves Trump are the same ones who "settled" for McCain in 08. Also, the same GOP voters who supposedly hated McCain, allowing him to "earn" the Maverick title when he didn't tow the party line.

When he said he gave McCain the kind of funeral he wanted, he meant that he didn't turn up to it.
a. Like literally last year, people and the media were making him out to be a "Maverick" and hero.
b. Honestly the HANDWAVING and the DOWNPLAYING of his anti-civil rights, His bloodthirsty warhawkery, his support for Brett Kavanaugh, it's frustrating.
C. Why is a cis man like John McCain allowed wo be called a hero, despite all his horribleness yet a Transwoman whom AOC likes like Chelsea Manning, whose faults include being associated with WikiLeaks and Assange, and being caught in an alt-right party, is not only very much hated, but is labeled as a coward despite also being subjugated to torture for trying to uncover US surveillance?
A) Maverick nickname is based on the idea that he was a bipartisan politician who wasn't afraid to reach across the aisle. Hero bit is already explained due to his veteran status. Saying something good about someone doesn't mean that they're also saying he was basically Jesus Christ and never committed a sin. Get real.
B) There's a good portion of Congress you can also point to that is just as culpable of those things. And again, it's worth noting that none of those things are what Trump is attacking him over. In a conversation specifically about how Trump is attacking McCain, it's not "all of his faults don't matter" it's "why are you stooping to this level of pettiness over a dead man simply because you have a vain grudge."
C) Looks like you're trying to constantly shift the goalposts here and change the conversation. This thread isn't about Chelsea Manning and if you have some sort of deep personal angst over how McCain's treated versus Manning, or generally just want to discuss everything you don't like about McCain, then I'd suggest making a separate thread. Last I checked this is a thread about Trump attacking McCain and before you were worried that Trump's making McCain look good which, I guess he is? As I previously mentioned, it's a pretty low bar we're setting if we're going to compare who looks better; a seasoned veteran/congressperson who seems to have been generally liked by his peers versus a man-child who can't stop himself from going after a dead man.
