Dem congresspeople should be holding press conferences every day, they should be telling the American people that we can't allow Trump an SC nomination, we have to prevent it at all costs.
I wish there was a way to have all of the news agencies update their style guides to have to refer to Trump as "Puppet Donald." Trump projects so much that it's easy to guess that nicknames, and being referred to by his first name, get under his skin in a bad way.

No one's abandoning anything. Trump will remain popular with his base and republicans in congress may or may not release a statement before returning to business as usual. Nothing has changed except for a greater than average number of sick twitter burns going around
What's not to understand? Literally nothing can stop Trump from being extremely popular with his base. Nothing can stop it. He's here to stay and republicans in office may occasionally release a statement but will continue enabling him and being complicit with him by their actions.
In a week's time this'll be gone and the news will be talking about whatever Trump does next. It never ends.
There's a reason he tried to shut down OT and then discourage political discussion. He knew exactly the type of people that would be sticking around and thought he could conceal the worst if it.
