I believe he is using it to make fun of her claim to be part Native American. But even ironically, using a figure from a people past as a butt of a joke is disgusting. Sadly he is incapable of understanding why this is wrong or find an acceptable implementation of this type of humor. You know, like people calling him "President".
I'd say the US as a single country still has the biggest influence on world events/economy/culture. EU isn't a country.

Had a Lyft driver last night who was an engineer from Ireland. He hated Trump as well but it made me feel better that he wasn't scared away from staying in the US. I think the smart people understand that this country is bigger than Trump. Dark times now but we could have a President as loved as Obama back in 3 years. FINGERS CROSSED.
Yeah I would imagine people see it as kind of weathering the storm. Though if Trump got elected again, which I don't believe will happen, it might be time for people to start thinking of alternative plans. If you're not White and American this president doesn't give a shit about you.

Economically the EU is a "Single Market" though, and it is under a European Central Bank. But it's definitely true that it isn't a country; overall the whole thing is kind of an on-going, in-between... thing.
It's both, really. He's got a long history of being racist towards various tribes as they expanded their casinos. He spent millions attacking them as "fake Indians" if the skin collor wasn't what he viewed as typical, accusing them of being mafia fronts, and having involvement in cocaine trafficking.
Also, this is how he chooses to kick off Native American Heritage Month.

Trump's probably watched some action fantasy anime or shit, the kind where katana-wielding heroes could jump 100 feet into the air, deflect laser beams and with a single slash, take down a jet fighter.
I don't think spear chucker is the appropriate analogue to the Pocahontas reference. Maybe if he said Redskin as I would find that much more offensive.
