I was actually about to post this nonsense... ironically.

A lot of former Soviet states have joined NATO in recent years because they fear Russia rolling in and saying, "Mmm... I think this is ours." You know, something that happened in a non-NATO country as recently as 4.5 years ago.

Not voting makes her seem like a coward. If she has no strong opinion about the nation's relationship with NATO, then she comes across as ignorant. If she has a strong relationship but is afraid to vote either way, she seems like a coward.

28 Dems did not vote. Hopefully they had good cause and it wasn't a situation where they didn't want to 'support' a transatlantic military alliance that might upset some of their constituents

I am not in favor of dismantling Nato especially since Norway shares a border with Vlad so Kamala Harris 2020 or hell anyone who is not in favor of leaving Nato.

I mean she has been saying no to interventionism for years and that in an of itself is not a bad thing being against the Iraq war and regime changes which has not lead to anything good.

But she has also has had some talking points that sounds like it came straight from the Russian foreign ministry especially regarding Syria and Assad.

-The US government, from the President of the United States, to members of Congress, is supposed to represent the interests of the United States and its people.
-NATO is the most successful military alliance in human history.
-Compare the number of deaths per year from European wars before and after NATO.
-The biggest opponent of NATO and the primary force trying to undermine it, is Russia.

If you just see NATO as "warmongers", take a look at how Russia behaves towards NATO allies that border Russia (eg Baltics, Poland, Norway) compared to non-NATO countries that border Russia (eg Ukraine and Georgia):

Gabbard comes from a one-party state. Whatever she might disagree with the rest of us on, she has a crystal clear understanding of why you don't run third party.
