Excellent thread work!

It's a fairly light month for me until the back half is just an onslaught.

I thought I'd missed a season on UnREAL, passed me by that it went on hiatus for nearly two years. Last season didn't end particularly strong, but I'm curious to see what's next.

For new shows, Altered Carbon, Here and Now, and The Looming Tower have me the most interested! Everything Sucks! hopefully has potential.

Think I'll give AP Bio, Altered Carbon, and Here and Now a shot. I've heard AP Bio is surprisingly crazy from someone who worked on it.

Collateral could be interesting when/if it comes to the US.

Survivor and The Walking Dead when it returns, although I can't say I've missed it or that I'm looking forward to its return. I've just been watching it since the beginning, so to speak.

I didn't know about AP Bio until I saw a preview for it, and I like the lead so I'll give it a shot too.

Thanks for the thread, Ratsky. FWIW I kind of like the monthly format, which seems to make it easier to digest what's coming soon without being too overwhelmed by the number of shows. :p

I am 100% on board for Altered Carbon, just about finished the first book and will probably binge the series then read books 2 & 3. Really enjoying book 1 so far, its a lot more violent and "sex filled" than I thought it would be, gonna be interesting to see how that translates to the screen. Its supposed to be Netflix's most expensive TV show to date, I think?

Other than that nothing really pops out that much, Stargate Origins looks like it'll be a massive dumpster fire as a huge Stargate fan :(

Will watch:
Here and Now - I wasn't sure, but the trailers enticed me. I'll give it a go.
Liberty - Mikael Marcimain can do no wrong, so even if I have to put up with the Danish language it will (hopefully) be worth the effort.
Riot - I don't know much about Australian LGBTQ history, so learning about what seems to be their counterpart to Stonewall is an intriguing prospect.
McMafia - Whenever Amazon releases it from its clutches, it reviewed very well in the UK.
Collateral David Hare did some astounding work with the Worricker Trilogy, so he has my attention for the forseeable future. That he managed to assemble an (almost) equally bonkers cast for this is just a bonus. Carey Mulligan is a delight in everything she is in.

Might watch:
Altered Carbon - I'm not convinced by the trailers, and the lead writer has done some astonishing stinkers. But I do like me some cyberpunk.
Crawford - If it reviews well.
Seven Seconds - If it reviews well.
The Looming Tower - I'm just not sure just how much I actually want to watch a prestige drama about 9/11.

Jesus Christ How Could I Not Watch This:
Bite Club - pls, just be as weird, bonkers, and terrible as the synopsis hints at it possibly being.

Top marks for thread.

Few new thing of interest (thanks Netflix);
  • Altered Carbon
  • The Joel McHale Show
  • Seven Seconds
  • Will watch that Juve Netflix thing. Will they have the cameras on when the mighty Tottenham Hotspurs send them packing out of the CL?
Picking back up
  • Picking Last Week Tonight back up.
  • Might wait till Legends of Tomorrow comes to US Netflix despite watching half the season already.
Quit my streaming service that has Ash vs Evil Dead and that was going to air The Trade. Feel I can live without those.

Already watching McMafia on iPlayer- it's good but am a couple of eps behind and not sure when will pick it back up.

Mrs Miso is the Homeland fan. Might just not tell her it's back. Last season wasn't terrible but that's the nicest thing I can say about it. Still mad after the S1 cop out. But have come this far. When will it get put out of it's (and my) misery.

TWD - Out of habit mostly, waiting patiently to see Carol kill more people and watch
Coral die.
Homeland - I'm thinking this and Shameless should end after one more season.
Altered Carbon - I'm not crazy over this, but I'll give it a go since it has Holder in it.

Current shows:
Dark - Love this show! It's like The Killing had a baby with Stranger Things.
The X-Files - I'm mostly watching for nostalgia and Mitch Pileggi.

Excited for the return of one of my favorites iZombie! I think the only other returning show debuting this month that I watch is UnReal and I'm on the fence about whether I will be back for that one. I think I will try Altered Carbon, Here and Now and Seven Seconds as far as new shows go. Otherwise, just continuing to watch the stuff I've been watching.

Once again, thanks for this wonderful thread and the hard work put into it.

One definite watch is surely gonna be Altered Carbon. I'll go through the list later to pick up on anything interesting.

Oh, First team: Juventus FC is a thing by Netflix. I guess I'll watch that. I'm surely no Juventus fan, but it's football so it's interesting. And HiguaĂn is still there.

So what's the deal with the returning Strike Back? Is any of the behind the scenes team the same? The action and stunts on the last series were amazing, I would be in for more if they were at all related.

Edit:slightly answering my own question, it appears at least some of the crew is the same... I can't quite tell to what extent. Any further info/articles would be appreciated.

I don't know the extent of it, just that some of the same writers are working on it.

As someone that felt kind of burned by season two, how was season three?

Excellent. Easily better than season two, which wasn't very good and had me feeling kind of 'over' the show.

You're not the first community to have the idea of a monthly thread, though.
Plus this thread has a lot more relevant information in it, thanks for the info OP.

Hoping to watch Altered Carbon depending on the backlog, and maybe keep an eye out for Collateral.

Another series I've spotted that I didn't see above is called Requiem, BBC One starting this Friday and it's supposed to go up on netflix at some point as well.
"This supernatural chiller, taking inspiration from psychological horror films of the 1960s and '70s such as Rosemary's Baby and Don't Look Now, tells the story of a brilliant young cellist Matilda Gray (Lydia Wilson), whose world is turned upside down following her mother's sudden suicide. Grief-stricken Matilda begins to question her identity when she discovers evidence in her mother's possessions that link her to a young girl who went missing from a small Welsh village more than 20 years ago."

I remember enjoying season 1 of divorce and thinking it was petty good. Season 2 has been absolutely terrible thus far.
