Marrying Mr. Darcy - Hallmark (June 2)

Some six months after they first crossed verbal swords at a Washington D.C. dog show, schoolteacher Elizabeth Scott and businessman/philanthropist Donovan Darcy are blissfully in love and newly engaged. With Donovan in agreement, she looks forward to planning a small autumn wedding with the help of her mother and sister. Set in the 1980s, 'Pose' explores the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York: the ball culture world, the rise of the luxury Trump-era universe and the downtown social and literary scene.

Wrong Man - Starz (June 3)

This groundbreaking six-episode documentary series from Joe Berlinger (Paradise Lost), examines three different cases of inmates who have been incarcerated for decades and claim they are innocent. The series will uncover new theories, offer alternate suspects and reveal startling new evidence that could prove these inmates are not guilty. In "Wrong Man," Berlinger's cameras follow a team of esteemed legal, investigative and forensic experts including renowned civil rights attorney Ronald Kuby, former prosecutor Sue-Ann Robinson, retired NCIS investigator Joe Kennedy, and Ira Todd, a member of Detroit's elite Homicide Task Force, as they re-investigate the cases of three inmates who have been locked up for decades and claim they are innocent.

Succession - HBO (June 3)

This drama series follows the Roy family - Logan Roy and his four adult children - who control one of the biggest media and entertainment conglomerates in the world. The show tracks the lives of the key members as they grapple with what the future will hold for them as their aging father begins to step back from the company.

Five Points - Facebook Watch (June 4)

The ten-episode series follows five students at a South Side Chicago high school who each experience a life-changing event from a different point of view.

Dietland - AMC (June 4)

The 10-episode series follows Plum Kettle, ghost-writer for the editor of one of New York's hottest fashion magazines, as she struggles with self-image and sets out on a wildly complicated road to self-acceptance. At the same time, everyone is buzzing over news reports about men, accused of sexual abuse and assault, who are disappearing and meeting untimely, violent deaths.

Unapologetic with Aisha Tyler (June 4)

Unlike a conventional after show confined to the companion series itself, 'Unapologetic' will feature Tyler leading a topical discussion around the broader, female-centric issues and themes that 'Dietland' explores. Tyler will be talking with celebrity fans, series actors and producers, as well as relevant journalists, writers, comedians and other tastemakers.

Impulse - YouTube Premium (June 6)

In 'Impulse,' 16-year-old Henry Coles is an outsider in her new town of Reston, New York. With a major chip on her shoulder and no friends, she remains withdrawn and isolated, but everything changes when a traumatic encounter with a classmate triggers something deep within Henry— unleashing a power she cannot control.

Condor - Audience (June 6)

Based on the novel "Six Days of the Condor" by James Grady and screenplay "Three Days of the Condor" by Lorenzo Semple Jr. and David Rayfiel, the series will follow a young CIA analyst who stumbles onto a terrible but brilliant plan that threatens the lives of millions.

Marvel's Cloak & Dagger - Freeform (June 7)

'Marvel's Cloak & Dagger' is the story of Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson - two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers which are mysteriously linked to one another. Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart, but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging.

American Woman - Paramount (June 7)

The series follows Bonnie, an unconventional mother struggling to raise her two daughters after leaving her husband amid the rise of second-wave feminism in 1970s Los Angeles. Bonnie also comes to rely on the help of her two best friends, Kathleen and Diana, as they each discover their own brand of independence in a glamorous and ever-changing world reluctant to give it.

The Staircase - Netflix (June 8)

'The Staircase' follows the compelling story of Michael Peterson, a crime novelist accused of killing wife Kathleen after she is found dead at the bottom of a staircase in their home, and the 16 year judicial battle that followed.

Netflix will debut three brand new episodes alongside the original 2004 series; all 13 episodes will launch globally on Netflix.
Academy Award-winning documentary filmmaker, Jean-Xavier de Lestrade was granted unusual access to the case immediately following Kathleen's death in 2001 in Durham, North Carolina. Just Another Immigrant - Showtime (June 8)

A comedic docuseries that follows Romesh Ranganathan, one of the most popular stand-ups in the UK, as he uproots his entire family - his supportive wife, their three kids, his Sri Lankan mother and his eccentric uncle - and immigrates to the U.S. Displaced in Los Angeles, Ranganathan attempts to find success and happiness, while rebuilding a life from scratch. Former marriage counselor turned fitness instructor Molly White has built a popular brand of workout classes, while her successful wedding photographer boyfriend Nick is branching out into art photography. Stalked By My Doctor: Patient's Revenge - Lifetime (June 10)

After a jury finds him not guilty of the kidnapping and attempted murder of a former patient, the mentally disturbed Dr. Albert Beck vows to rehabilitate himself. When he lands a teaching job at a prestigious Arizona medical school, he immediately develops a crush on a new student, Melissa, and struggles to keep his growing obsession from taking control of his life. The Last Defense - ABC (June 12)

The seven-episode docu-series explores and exposes flaws in the American justice system through emotional, in-depth examinations of the death row cases of Darlie Routier and Julius Jones. The series will seek to trace the path that led both Routier and Jones to their places on death row, while taking a deep look into their personal stories. In 1997, Darlie Routier, wife and mother, was sentenced to death for the brutal stabbing murder of her two young sons, a crime she insists she did not commit. Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours to Hell and Back (June 13)

The brand-new series will feature Ramsay driving to struggling restaurants across the country in his state-of-the-art mobile kitchen and command center, Hell On Wheels. In today's social media-driven world, everyone is an amateur food critic, and restaurants often find themselves one bad review away from shutting their doors. So, for the first time ever, Ramsay will try to bring each of these failing restaurants back from the brink of disaster - all in just 24 hours. First, he'll send in a team to record secret surveillance. Then, he'll go in undercover to see the problems first-hand. Strange Angel - CBS All Access (June 13)

Based on George Pendle's book of the same name, the serise is inspired by the real life story of Jack Parsons and explores the dramatic intersection between genius and madness, science and science fiction. Jack Parsons, a brilliant and ambitious blue-collar worker of 1930s Los Angeles, started as a janitor at a chemical factory but had fantastical dreams that led him to birth the unknown discipline of American rocketry. Along the way, he fell into a mysterious world that included sex magick rituals at night, ultimately becoming a disciple of occultist Aleister Crowley. Parsons used Crowley's teachings of self-actualization to support his unimaginable and unprecedented endeavor to the stars.

Breaking Big - PBS (June 15)

'Breaking Big' explores the twists and turns on the road to thriving careers for some notable figures in various fields. The series of 30-minute documentary films traces the unusual paths followed by 12 talented men and women - from country music superstar Jason Aldean and former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson to Oscar-winning director Lee Daniels and chef and restaurateur Eddie Huang - who overcame nearly insurmountable obstacles and long odds to reach and reimagine their own potential and, ultimately, to break big. The series will include analysis from eminent social scientists, marketing experts, film critics, book editors and others to help viewers understand the risk-taking and bold moves these journeys require.

Love at First Dance - Hallmark (June 16)

Hope is tasked with teaching Manhattan's former "Most Eligible Bachelor" how to dance for his extravagant, society wedding. But as the dance lessons progress, complications ensue when feelings begin to develop between student and instructor.

Club de Cuervos Presents: The Ballad of Hugo Sánchez - Netflix (June 17)

Chava Iglesias's doting personal assistant Hugo Sánchez is tasked with leading Club de Cuervos to victory in Nicaragua -- if only his mom will let him.

The Wrong Son - Lifetime (June 17)

Thirteen years after disappearing and presumed drowned, Matt mysteriously returns home to his mother Sarah. Suspicions grow when her older son Ian is injured in a car accident similar to the one that recently killed his father. Is this really Sarah's missing son? Is Matt seeking a loving home or revenge?

Deep State - Epix (June 17)

Man in an Orange Shirt - PBS (June 17)

The Proposal - ABC (June 18)

Hosted by former NFL quarterback and Season 5 Bachelor Jesse Palmer, each episode will feature 10 eligible daters competing in four pageant-style rounds to win the heart of a mystery man or woman whose identity is concealed from them. The male or female daters will attempt to woo the mystery suitor with their words in a first impressions round; bare their souls in a beachwear round; answer the mystery suitor's most pressing romantic questions; and strive to receive a seal of approval from the mystery suitor's most trusted family member in the final round. After each phase, the daters who fail to connect with the mystery suitor are whittled down, leading to the dramatic and highly anticipated reveal, when the two remaining daters finally meet the mystery suitor for the first time, just in time for a romantic proposal.

Love Is ___ - OWN (June 19)

Set primarily in 1990's Los Angeles against the backdrop of Black Hollywood, 'Love Is__' follows Nuri and Yasir, a couple from seemingly opposite worlds, as they chase their dreams and learn to follow their hearts. Told from the perspective of the couple's present-day selves, the romantic drama also revisits the social issues and vibrant black culture of that time reflecting on how it all aligned to shape the couple they have become nearly 20 years later -- a power couple navigating a complex set of social codes while also balancing successful careers and a beautiful family.

Yellowstone - Paramount Network (June 20)

In 'Yellowstone,' Kevin Costner stars as John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, under constant attack by those it borders - land developers, an Indian reservation, and America's first National Park. It is an intense study of a violent world far from media scrutiny - where land grabs make developers billions, and politicians are bought and sold by the world's largest oil and lumber corporations. Where drinking water poisoned by fracking wells and unsolved murders are not news: they are a consequence of living in the new frontier. It is the best and worst of America seen through the eyes of a family that represents both.

Take Two - ABC (June 21)

From Terri Edda Miller and Andrew W. Marlowe, the creators of 'Castle,' comes this upbeat detective series that follows Sam Swift, the former star of a hit cop series whose epic breakdown is broadcast to the public and sends her to rehab. Desperate to restart her career, she talks her way into shadowing lone-wolf private investigator Eddie Valetik as research for a potential comeback role. Though Eddie resents the babysitting gig, high-spirited Sam uses the skills she learned as an actor playing a cop and proves herself to be surprisingly valuable.

In the first-ever competitive cannabis cooking show, two chefs prepare mouthwatering marijuana-infused dishes for a panel of very chill celeb judges.

Wedding March 4: Something Old, Something New - Hallmark (June 23)

With the help of Mick and Olivia and the rest of the Willow Lake Inn team, couple Rob and Abby set off to have the wedding of their dreams. Trouble ensues when Abby starts to have second thoughts about their wedding plans – will her wedding be good enough for Rob's picture-perfect family?

A Night To Regret - Lifetime (June 24)

When college student Chelsea Bilson meets up with her estranged childhood best friend, Milla, she is unprepared for the events that follow. Unbeknownst to Chelsea, Milla has a webcam and openly shares her life for all the world to see and a watcher quickly becomes obsessed with Chelsea's beauty and naiveté. A Very English Scandal - Amazon (June 29)

The shocking true story of the first British politician to stand trial for conspiracy to murder. Jeremy Thorpe, the leader of the Liberal party, has a secret he's desperate to hide. His ex-lover Norman Scott is putting Thorpe's brilliant political career at risk so Thorpe schemes and deceives until he realizes there's only one way to silence Scott for good.

Churchill's Secret Agents: The New Recruits - Netflix (June 29)

The job of the Special Operations Executive (SOE) during the Second World War was deceptively strightforward: to undertake epionage, sabotage, and reconnaissance in occupied Europe. The was fearfully dangerous work and those sent behind enemy lines had to undertake rigorous training.

Just how rigorous is explored in a fivepart series duplicating the instruction given out in the 1940s. The series begins with a group of modern hopefuls undergoing a series of physical and mental tests to determine if they can progress to full training.

Kiss Me First - Netflix (June 29)

Lonely, 17-year-old Leila befriends Tess in the virtual world of Agora. When Tess disappears, Leila assumes her identity and is drawn into a mystery.

La Forêt - Netflix (June 29)

Sixteen-year-old Jennifer disappears one night from her village in the Ardennes. Captain Gaspard Deker leads the investigation with local cop Virginie Musso, who knew the girl well. They are helped by Eve, a lonely and mysterious woman.

Fate/EXTRA Last Encore: Oblitus Copernican Theory - Netflix (June 30)

Waking up in a strange virtual world with no recollection of the past, Hakuno finds himself forced to fight for survival in a war he does not understand for a prize beyond value; the opportunity to have one's wish granted. With only an enigmatic "Servant" by his side, Hakuno Kishinami will have to face both friends and foes in battles to the death in order to not only gain possession of a mysterious object known as the "Holy Grail," but also to find the answer to the most important question of all: "Who am I?"

It's a pretty big month - HBO, AMC, and FX all have new dramas (Succession, Dietland, and Pose respectively) and Paramount Network is coming out swinging with American Woman and Yellowstone, the latter of which should be among the best of the year (Taylor Sheridan wrote and directed every episode himself!)

I'm glad Salvation is returning, it can be a really dumb show sometimes and some twists are just there to hide a small budget, but it's a perfect CBS summer guilty pleasure show. :)

I'll definitely be checking out Pose and at least the first episode of Cloak & Dagger. Might check out Dietland and Man in an Orange Shirt.

Day one for GLOW though, I adored the first season. Of course I'll check in on Big Brother because I'm trash.

I watch a few shows on FX and I'm already really really tired of seeing POSE promos. I'm not sure who that show is for. Is it drag queens? It is trans? Is it strippers, prostitutes, dancers? I don't know. I do love some Van Der Beek though.

Excited for Sense 8, though, I'm not sure how they could possibly wrap everything up in a satisfying way. I'll probably try Cloak and Dagger, because I've at least watched a couple episodes of every superhero show. I'll try Take Two as well because I loved Castle. Luke Cage, loved the first season, wary though because if Iron Fist is in it he's going to fuck everything up. Didn't realize PBS was getting the new GBBS season so that was a pleasant surprise.

TV Calendar says that Elementary started on April 30th, I haven't been paying attention to know if that's true, is there a reason you've got it listed here too?

These lists are awesome because I always end up finding something I've forgotten about or somehow didn't know about, thanks for making them Ratsky.

Edit to add: I get that its funny, but these lists are always full of Lifetime/Hallmark original movies, and I think it kind of works against the goal of finding the actual good shows amidst the already huge numbers of TV shows.

Condor - I'm a sucker for Spy Fiction, so I'm pretty much obligated to check it out.
Yellowstone - Taylor Sheridan hasn't done wrong by me so far.

Might Watch:
Succession - If it reviews well and I'm in the mood for what looks like by the books prestige drama
Strange Angel - Also if it reviews well, the trailers got me interested. But I'm not sure if the show will hold all the way.

I hear you. Ryan Murphy + FX can occasionally be brilliant, though. I'll give it a shot, and I am at least somewhat curious. It's about something I really have no knowledge of at all.

Every time those commercials came on during the Americans finale made me laugh, though, at the sheer absurdity of the juxtaposition. Which was kind of helpful, actually, as we probably all could've used some of that during.

I was so negative on it during the first season cause it was breaking all of the rules of the movie, but then I waited to binge the second season and somehow it became one of the best shows in recent years.

Fair enough. These lists are heavily curated so it doesn't really make sense to clutter it up with every kooky Lifetime/Hallmark movie. Maybe I'll cut it down to only the most outrageous ones~

As Cornballer said, Succession has received positive-to-mixed reviews thus far, as has Dietland. Pose is getting good reviews across the board though.

It is a positively received new show from one of the most hailed writer/producers around about a largely overlooked subculture (i.e. ball culture). But sure, reduce it to being "just" for the people it is depicting, and reduce the people it is depicting to stereotypes.

'Better Call Saul' Season 4 & 'Lodge 49' Gets AMC Premiere Dates

AMC has its summer premiere dates for Season 4 of Better Call Saul and its new series Lodge 49. The cable net today set a 9 PM August 6 premiere date for its Emmy-nominated Breaking Bad spinoff, to be followed at 10 PM by the launch of its lighthearted "modern fable" starring Wyatt Russell and Brent Jennings.

Netflix has set January 25, 2019 for the remaining six episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's fourth season. The first six episodes of Season 4 of the comedy series from Tina Fey and Robert Carlock launched May 30.
