Darrow & Darrow: In the Key of Murder - Hallmark (May 6)

A simple offer of legal advice turns into the biggest challenge of Claire Darrow's legal career when her new beau, District Attorney Miles Strasberg, introduces her to his younger half-sister, Phoebe. A singer who has just completed her first album, Phoebe fears that she may have signed away her rights to her ex-producer, who is threatening to destroy the recordings. 'Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance' follows the fairytale romance of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the moment they met after being set up by friends, through their initial courtship when they were able to keep their romance under wraps, and ultimately the intense global media attention surrounding their relationship and Meghan's life as a divorced American actress.

Little Women - PBS (May 13)

Loved by generations of women worldwide, 'Little Women' is a truly universal coming of age story, as relevant and engaging today as it was on its original publication in 1868.

The Great American Read - PBS (May 22)

A new PBS series and multi-platform initiative that celebrates the joy of reading and the books we love.

Hosted by television personality and journalist Meredith Vieira, the series will introduce viewers to the full list of America's 100 favorite novels selected through a demographically representative national survey conducted by YouGov.

The series will also feature interviews with celebrities, authors, superfans and everyday Americans discussing the way particular books have influenced them and their significance in American popular culture. Then, after a multi-platform initiative throughout the summer, which will include live public events, social media components and national reading clubs, the series will resume in the fall with several themed episodes, including an exciting finale, culminating in the first-ever national vote to choose "America's Best-Loved Novel." I was never asked to read the book in school, and have always regretted that. So I borrowed it from the library a couple of months ago, and started it but got sidetracked by other things. I plan to read through it before I watch the show off of my PVR.

Dear White People - If for no other reason that this show upsets some very annoying people. It also is a good show so there's at least two good reasons to watch it.
Patrick Melrose - I'm a simple man, if it has Benedict Cumberbatch in it I will most likely watch it. Luckily for me it looks like pretty good show.
The Tale - Looks gut wrenching.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt - Probably not gonna binge it on the day of release. But I've fairly consistently enjoyed the show

Might Watch:
Safe - If it's well received.
Fahrenheit 451 - If it's well received. Looks pretty good though.
The Split - I like Abi Morgan but I'm not sold on the premise so it's another "if it's well received."
Picnic at Hanging Rock - If it's well received. I adore the orignal film and TV remakes have a mixed record for me.

This is like the lightest month in quite a while! Thank fuck for that, maybe I will finally have time to be a social animal, work on bettering my self, or even go on a dat- remembers backlog ... dammit. Stop making so much good TV

And it mentions the fifth season is "real soon".

It's pretty amazing how out there CBS All Access is compared to its broadcast brother. And so far they're 2 for 2 on the drama side with Star Trek Disco and The Good Fight. Hope this delivers.

Oh my, I had no idea this was anywhere close to coming out. Parsons and his story is so insane and wonderful and the show looks like it has a pretty great handle on it.

Can't wait for:

Probably only Colony in terms of new stuff. Fahrenheit HBO looks so bland, but I'll watch for Michael Shannon at least.

I finished Bellevue with Sookeh and it was fun and trashy Canadian noir/sad feelings up and down. Highly recommended.

I am finally getting to Marvel's Defenders and will bust through it pretty quickly, in case it's boring.

My only new commitments this month are Diablo Guardian and Queen Sugar. I'm cautiously optimistic about Diablo Guardian. I adore the novel and hope it survives the adaptation. Queen Sugar feels a little early compared to previous seasons, but I'm not gonna complain.

Maybe it's time I watch Dear White People since I'll have more time on my hands in May.

Hard to say what'll watch this month. There's not much new stuff I wanna check out. The Rain I'll probably check out some rainy Sunday when I got nothing else to do, as it's filmed at my place. But May will be all about catching up with my weekly shows and all the returning shows from April. Haven't even finished Legion S1 (got the finale left), The Expanse S1 (got the finale left), or started up The Handmaid's Tale S2, Westworld S2, The Originals S5 or Into the Badlands S3 yet. This shit is actually stressing me out a bit, as I want to be in on the discussions for these shows.

I still have Counterpart on my watchlist (or rather waiting list ;)), but this is a good recommendation. I loved Fringe and I really like The Americans. :)
