The Neighborhood - CBS (Oct 1)

When Dave Johnson and his family arrive from Michigan, they're unfazed that their new dream home is located in a community quite different from their small town. However, their opinionated next-door neighbor, Calvin Butler, is wary of the newcomers, certain that they'll disrupt the culture on the block. Dave realizes that fitting into their new community is more complex than he expected, but if he can find a way to connect with Calvin, they have an excellent chance of making their new neighborhood their home.

The dark, psychological drama "The Girl in the Bathtub" is inspired by the true story of Julia Law, a young paralegal struggling with issues of addiction, found dead in her boss's bathtub in Philadelphia just shy of her 27th birthday. Her boss, a prominent Philadelphia lawyer, whom she had recently begun dating, was interviewed by authorities as they investigated Julia's death. But it is soon revealed her boss was just one of three lovers Julia had - raising questions about whether any of them may have had a motive to kill her. So the question remains - who killed Julia Law?

Titans - DC Universe (Oct 12)

"Titans" follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic "Teen Titans" franchise.

The hit political podcast "Pod Save America" comes to HBO for a series of four specials. Funny and informative, the specials will be taped the same day in front of live audiences in Miami, Austin, Philadelphia and Irvine, Cal. "Pod Save America" will be hosted by Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, Dan Pfeiffer and Tommy Vietor, former aides to President Obama, who will break down the week's events and help Americans figure out what matters and how to make a difference in these turbulent political times. Terror in the Woods - Lifetime (Oct 14)

Inspired by true events, Rachel and Kaitlyn are two quiet, shy 12-year-old best friends in small town Georgia. Like many 12 year-olds, they liked having sleepovers and spent much of their time on the internet often looking up scary stories. Their favorite internet spooky story is that of the Suzerain, a clawed monster who lures children to his palace in the forest. To their parents, it seemed like a harmless ghost story, but in reality, the girls believed the Suzerain was real and that he would hurt their families unless they did what he told them to, which was perform a blood sacrifice.

Charmed - The CW (Oct 14)

"Stronger together." That's what Marisol tells her daughters, firebrand social justice warrior Melanie "Mel" Vera, and her sister, fun-loving Maggie, about their family. But then, a shocking tragedy shatters their world and threatens their sibling bond: Marisol dies in a horrifying accident. Or was it?

And then, another huge shock shows up at their front door: they have an older sister, brilliant geneticist Macy, whom their mother kept a secret all these years! Macy is new in town and doesn't know a soul. Macy is eager to connect with Mel and Maggie, but Mel can't handle another shock, and shuts her out.

With the emotions of all three sisters running high, each of the girls suddenly exhibit impossible new abilities: Mel can freeze time, Maggie starts hearing others' thoughts, and Macy has telekinetic powers. But don't worry, there's a perfectly reasonable explanation... or so says Harry Greenwood, when he gathers the three sisters together to reveal they're actually powerful witches, as was their mother. And he's not really a professor, he's their "Whitelighter," a witch's advisor and guide! Not only that, but Mel was right: their mother's death was no accident - she was murdered by unknown dark forces. It's a lot to take in, but ultimately the sisters accept their new destiny as The Charmed Ones... and their new duty to protect humankind from the demons that walk among us... one of whom killed their mother. With the Power of Three, they are stronger together... even if they have no idea what they're really up against.

To celebrate her husband Walt's 44th birthday, the obsessively organized and aggressively controlling Kathryn gathers together her meek sister, her holier-than-thou ex-best friend and a free-spirited tagalong - and what was supposed to be a delightful, back-to-nature camping trip quickly becomes a weekend of tested marriages and woman-on-woman crime that won't soon be forgotten.

The show is written by Lena Dunham ("Girls"), Jenni Konner ("Girls") and John Riggi ("The Comeback"), and is based on the British series of the same name.

The new special features Birdman as the country's next Attorney General — as announced by President Kebben. In his new role, it's up to Birdman to find a way to remove the President from office before everyone starts to worry it's more than the ridiculous plot to an animated show.

Constantine: The Legend Continues - The CW (Oct 15)

"Constantine: The Legend Continues" follows DC's popular comic book character John Constantine (voiced by Matt Ryan), a seasoned demon hunter and master of the occult. Armed with an arcane knowledge of the dark arts and a wicked wit, he fights the good fight. With his soul already damned to hell, he'll do whatever it takes to protect the innocent. The Conners - ABC (Oct 16)

After a sudden turn of events, the Conners are forced to face the daily struggles of life in Lanford in a way they never have before. The Kids Are Alright - ABC (Oct 16)

Set in the 1970s, this ensemble comedy follows a traditional Irish-Catholic family, the Clearys, as they navigate big and small changes during one of America's most turbulent decades. In a working-class neighborhood outside Los Angeles, Mike and Peggy raise eight boisterous boys who live out their days with little supervision. The household is turned upside down when oldest son Lawrence returns home and announces he's quitting the seminary to go off and "save the world." Times are changing and this family will never be the same. There are 10 people, three bedrooms, one bathroom and everyone in it for themselves.

The Rookie - ABC (Oct 16)

Starting over isn't easy, especially for small-town guy John Nolan who, after a life-altering incident, is pursuing his dream of being an LAPD officer. As the force's oldest rookie, he's met with skepticism from some higher-ups who see him as just a walking midlife crisis. If he can't keep up with the young cops and the criminals, he'll be risking lives including his own. But if he can use his life experience, determination and sense of humor to give him an edge, he may just become a success in this new chapter of his life.

Manhunt - ITV (TBD)

"Manhunt" is the real life story of how the murder of French National, Amelie Delagrange, on Twickenham Green in August 2004 was eventually linked to the murders of Marsha McDonnell in 2003 and the abduction and murder of Milly Dowler as she travelled home from school in 2002.

Walking home following a night out with friends, 22 years old Amelie was savagely attacked and struck several times on the back of the head with a hammer.

Although relatively experienced in murder investigation, DCI Sutton was assigned to the case by London's Metropolitan Police. Hard working and instinctive, Sutton dedicated himself to finding Amelie's killer. With very little evidence, his painstaking approach and the diligence of his fellow officers gradually led to breakthroughs in the case.

Not to be underestimated, Sutton never ruled out similarities to the murders of Marsha McDonnell and Milly Dowler in the same southwest corner of London.

I'm not sure what I'll be checking out. I'm feeling a bit down, and have felt this way for some time, so the only sure-fire watch is Daredevil S3.

I'll get around to Riverdale, Titans, Making a Murderer, Legacies, Star Wars: Resistance and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. But they'll be added to my queue as I won't get around to them right away.

AMC Visionaries: Eli Roth's History of Horror (AMC) - I love docu-series like this
The Conners (ABC) - I really want to see how the dynamics change without Roseanne
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (Netflix) - Hopefully it's enjoyable like Riverdale S1 and not bad like Riverdale S2

Will Watch:
Star Trek: Short Treks - Disco was very good, and these are going to be short. Ergo, absolutely no reason not to watch them.
Doctor Who - ...Eventually, I did get a bit burned out during the Capaldi years (more from having followed the show since series 2 than any noticeable drop in quality).
The Bisexual - Desiree Akhavan has earned my attention with The Miseducation of Cameron Post, and Appropriate Behavior. Hoping this is good, the trailer didn't say much.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend - Totally ready to have my heart ripped out and stamped on to some absolutely smashing tunes.
Making a Murderer - It's not like I won't watch the followup after being that infuriated after the first one.
Wanderlust - I'll watch Toni Colette in anything. Luckily this looks good.
Bodyguard - Jed Mercurio is one hell of a writer, and the premise is intriguing. That it has gotten good reviews and been an absolute smash hit in the UK does not lessen the hype.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina - Look if I'm going to be a human sacrifice it's going to be to Sally Draper.
Deutschland 86 - The first trailer looked messy as hell, but then again the first season was an enjoyable hot mess.
Tell Me a Story - Speaking of messes. I can't believe this show is real. Bless CBS AA for this.

Might Watch:
The Haunting of Hill House - It looks fine, but eh it's not my genre of choice.
The Romanoffs - I'm going to need reviews for this one. I'm not sold on the premise, and well it being on Amazon and Matthew Weiner getting #metoo'd puts a massive damper on any excitement I had.
Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj - The non fiction Netflix stuff (esp. the comedy/variety ones) have been a mixed bag. Curious as to how this one will turn out.

About halfway with Maniac, loving it so far, My brother recommended Norsemen to me, so I might give that a shot as well. The new Castlevania for sure, the first few episodes were really good so I'm curious to see if they can keep it up.

I watched the first 5 minutes of Norsemen last night just to see and it was awesome. I was pleasantly surprised it was in English. Definitely looking forward to watching more.
