wait, what? you could post child porn on twitter?

The legality of loli and similar stuff has always been in the legal grey area, mainly because it's a constitutional conundrum.

I think it's one of those things where platforms don't actively police these legal grey areas. This means the people seeking it out find pockets and people who post it, and those who... well obviously aren't seeking it out are not going to be reporting it because they aren't seeing it.

Is she not an adult? She certainly looks that way.

But yeah, I hope Japanese devs and artists eventually get a kick in the pants to cut this shit out.

I believe she was.

Code of Princess is also a little bit of a weird case. The artist of the game was also the writer, and she inserted a ton of gags making fun of the main character's "dress", where the main character insists that it's actually normal and fashionable. If you look at the other games she does artwork for there's often female character that stands out for being half-dressed (Rogue in Shadow over Mystara, Lotus in 999, Alice in Virtue's Last Reward, etc.) so I get the sense that it's something the artist genuinely likes doing rather than just a cynical grab. I'll leave it up to you if that makes it better; I personally thought the main character in Code of Princess was a bit much for me.

They're also banning anyone who post links to sites that host CP, virtual or not. Maybe this will finally halt promotion of certain video games that sexualize minors.

If you see any tweets violating this policy, report them here.

This is very good, and well overdue. That being said, I wonder about the ramifications for characters that are underaged despite the content or appearance of the characters themselves. This'll have more ramifications than simply banning Loli and Shota and cub stuff, and might affect tangential stuff simply because anime, manga, games etc often feature high schoolers who are technically underage.

I'm still 100% for it and think it's about time, just curious to think about what the ripples will be like down the line. Fandom twitter is definitely gonna be affected. It's also gonna mean that linked sites also need to change their guidelines, so imageboards and other alternative community sites might need to change their posting guidelines or fear the blacklist. Still, about fucking time.

There is a lot of clearly gross content featuring characters that look obviously underage. Good riddance to that.

At the same time, there are other character depictions that are not so obvious and that creates a gray area that Twitter will have to figure out.

Not because of the "this child is actually a 1000 year dragon" fallacy, mind you. Those are obviously worth banning.
Yeah I avoided posting here but I'd be pretty annoyed if people got banned for stuff like Kim Possible porn because some Twitter mod looked on a wiki and found her last age to be 17.

I mean, one of the greatest novels of the 20th century is from the point of view of a child molester so... yeah? And even in this thread there's posts about Big Mouth and how that's a show all about child sexuality that Netflix keeps advertising to me.

These are legitimate. Comic books that exist only for internet creeps to jerk off to aren't. A Twitter ban isn't going to harm those legitimate portrayals.

User Banned (1 Month): Pattern of drive-by posts in threads concerning sexualisation of minors. History of severe infractions.
Whatever.

Wait, are we talking about Lolita? For one thing, hasn't that always had mixed reception, and for the other, isn't the "depiction of child sexuality" just the main character imagining that the kid is seducing him to justify the fact that he's a child molester?

Jesus christ, fuck off with Lolita, that shit was always bad.

Having just read the book for the first time, I was surprised how it gets portrayed in other media. I was under the impression that the protagonist was seduced by a preteen girl who then gave into temptation. But no, he is a monster that targeted her and she barely showed any real interest in him at first. The writing is beautiful and the actions are despicable. The fact that it is written in the first person and would constitute an unreliable narrator, means the implied actual events were a million times worse.

It is a worthwhile book to exist even if the protagonist is horrible but gives insight into that kind of mind.

Is there a reason why people even go to twitter or used to for tumblr for porn anyway? Like I would think people would want to keep that stuff to rule 34 and porn sites.

I thought it was well known the entire hook of the book was the reader was dealing with an unreliable narrator?
