The first wasSimon Larouche. He joined earlier this year and he was a game director for Rainbow Six Siege.

Edit -

Just as important about Simon Larouche:

He helped make Killzone 2 as great as it was.
-

8 months later, Chris Lee (pictured left) joins GG as a principal game designer. He also worked on Rainbow Six Siege.

-

So, this obviously suggests GG has some MP brewing. What do you all think will come of it and what do you want to come from it? Co-op/MP for Horizon 2? Killzone reboot? A brand new MP focused IP?

What say you?

Thanks to Cyberia for the find.

And for those unaware, earlier this year they hired the game director of Siege, Simon Larouche. He's currently working as a Game Director there. They're also looking to add an additional 150 members to the studio.

Wow that's a huge loss for Ubisoft Montreal. As a huge fan of Rainbow Six Siege this saddens me. I hope he does great things at Guerrilla games though.

A Killzone reboot would be so dope, KZ2 and KZ3 were so fun.

Are Guerilla a 2 team studio now? I mean I can’t imagine them putting a HZD sequel on hold for Killzone.

Just to clarify, "a" game designer is not the same as "the" game designer. There wasn't only one working on R6 Siege. It's not like being a game director.
Good promotion for him though.

edit for those not knowing the typical hierarchy: game director > lead designer > principal designer > designer (that can be senior, specialist, etc).

I seriously hope this is for a Killzone game (which I will fully support) and not a forced online component in Horizon.

Either Horizon 2 co-op or maybe Killzone. Killzone could work pretty well as a GaaS. Hell if they just remastered KZ2's multiplayer with the DLC maps included I'd be there in a heartbeat.

Unless GG has two teams, there is zero chance they are making Killzone right now

Thought that this was not news worthy until I read their job descriptions at Ubisoft. Very interesting recruits!
Haven't enjoyed a MP KZ game ever since 2, I think it's about time, GG.

Horizon Zero Siege let's go! Probably be Nora vs Cartja tribes! 8 new tribesmen per season with cosmetics on bows and spears.

I loved Horizon but I want a Killzone 5 so badly. Horizon doesn't need a sequel just yet. I can totally wait till next gen for another adventure with Aloy.

Fuck yes! Horizon was cool and all but it’s no Killzone 2

That sounds like some good talent they acquired

Killzone 5! Let’s go boys

Why? It makes perfect sense for them to work on Killzone for their next game. It helps Sony to diversify their lineup and counter the narrative that they are only releasing cinematic 3rd-person adventure games. And their current team seems very capable, maybe they are able to breath new life into the Killzone IP and make it as successful as Horizon: Zero Dawn. It would also be a good title to highlight the power of PS5's much faster CPU, as FPS titles gain a lot from running at 60fps.
