I love how you can't squish the monobrows at lower speeds. I noticed after squishing a couple of them in a row that there was a little counter to show my current "squish streak", so I attempted to use my tried and true Theme Hospital technique of slowing down time for easy rat shooting, but it turns out you can't exterminate any brows when the game is on Pause or Slow Speed, only Normal Speed. Never tried it on Fast Speed, I'll leave that setting for Quake 3 professionals.

Some person was complaining about it on the Steam Forums, saying it was a bug. To that I say "git gud" :P I believe this was very much intended, otherwise that streak bonus would be kind of pointless.

14 hours so far... And loving every minute of it!

Happy to see people enjoying it! Especially the few first timers I've spotted in the thread! Need to get this soon too. Theme Hospital is a game I always go back to in every few years. One of my all time favorites.

You might be able to slow/speed up with cheat engine too. Depends on the 3d engine.

Loved Theme Hospital back in the day, might get this eventually.

I never played Theme Hospital when it was released. Was too busy Transport Tycooning, Rollercoaster Tycooning and Duke Nukem 3Ding amonst other games. Didn't see how fun running a hospital could be.

Well, 20+ years later, I now see how fun running a hospital can be. Only played this for about 30 mins last night, but this game is exactly why I got back into PC gaming a few years ago. Just mindless fun. Can't wait to really get into it over the weekend.

Is it only me, or is the game a bit crazy on RAM?

This was just the first level, close to the end

Its a great game. On my second hospital atm. Any ideas if I should always build another reception for the second building? Or should I just save my money untill lines get bigger?

Also I am getting weird stuttering even though im pulling like over 120 frames from what I checked yesterday.

Is there any way to reverse the direction of the horizontal camera mouse rotation? :0 I couldn't find any option to invert it

Picked this up for £13.38 thanks to Eurogamer's Jelly Deals. This game is full of charm and a lot of fun. They did a great job capturing the Theme Hospital magic, I'm having a blast playing it.

Really hope they do Two Point Theme Park next. :)

I do think they need to do a bit of balancing for how many patients you can get at any one time. Having 5+ GP offices all with queues 8 or 9 patients deep is a little over the top.

One thing I'll never understand in sim games is the arbitrary way time is measured. For instance, a janitor takes a break and it lasts 20 DAYS? Of course, that's like 5 minutes of game time but why not just make it 20 minutes and have the time be measured differently? It's weird to see a group of patients show up to the hospital for challenges and have some of them waiting on a bench for 60 days until they're admitted/treated.

Maybe that's the joke in this particular instance and it doesn't really hamper my enjoyment with the game, but it seems like an odd decision.

I'm really enjoying the game, but GP queue hell is real. I've got 5+ offices with a permanent queue of around 20 patients each (the supposed trick of raising GP prices to 100% actually made the problem worse).

Anyone got any tips on reducing the amount of patients that come through the doors?

So I think maybe having a higher hospital level might be the issue with the crazy queues. It says under the description that the overall size of the hospital based on rooms and staff means you'll get more patients and job applicants.

So maybe hiring too many staff and building too many rooms preemptively before you're ready? Whenever you buy a new staff member it goes up a decent amount, and same with rooms.

I was on my 2nd hospital and to get 3 stars, you need a level 10 hospital.

3 GPs and I keep getting told about queues. Ended up having to build another one. (and that only barely helped)

Despite that and being told "You may have too many x because some are idle" (or you should hire more x, I've had both within an hour earlier lol) I'm having a hell of a lot of fun. :D

I handle my queues by having at least 10 GP offices. I have 14 Doctors working those offices so if they go on break, someone should be there to replace them.

Yeah, the first time I started Mitton University I made a bunch of rooms (also bought a 2nd corridor before I even opened the hospital) and I think because I did that my hospital level went too high too quickly and I got a crazy influx of patients I wasn't able to handle lol. So I ended up starting over, and just did the bare minimum in the beginning and it worked out a hell of a lot better.

I just hit 3 stars on it with level 15 hospital with 100~ patients and my GP queues have been around 6/7 which I think is normal(?). Had about 5 GP rooms by then.

It is super fun though! :D It's going to take me forever to 3 star everything lol

Pick up items like vending machines and the reception desk. Heaps of them usually hide underneath
This helped, thank you.

Anyway, I was expecting Theme Hospital with a modern coat of pain but I think we got quite a bit more: The UI is great, with good charts, useful heatmaps and intuitive buttons. The writting is very funny, and the animations are absolutely top-notch. As far as I'm concerned Two Point Studios knocked it out of the park.

How heavy are the specs for this? I have a low end laptop but I was able to run Deus Ex Human Revolution in a mostly playable state.

My only complain is that the game eats too much RAM

I have only 8 and i think the game might crash :(

Oof yeah, I'm on hospital #3 and the GP queue is hitting me hard.

Are we all just screwing something up? Seems like few reviews talked about this so I'm not sure.

GP lines are already pretty crazy in the second hospital. Three GP rooms and each room has 10 people waiting. Being the.busiest room type is understandable though as most of the patients need to go through the GP rooms first.

Yeah, it's a bit annoying but it makes sense. Not sure how they could fix it as long as patients have to get diagnosed first before heading to a specialist.

GPs were one of the most used rooms in the original Theme Hospital too, although you usually didn't need more than one until later on in the game.

I'm loving this game so far. Just unlocked the third hospital.

After some experimentation, it seems the best way to alleviate the queues is to have several GP offices near the entrance, then have all the diagnostic rooms clustered together (I had them in a whole separate wing), and then have some more GP offices near them so patients can collect their results.

Aren't a lot of patients going to GP, then going for additional diagnosis, and then back to GP so the doctor reads the results? It looked like as more diagnosis rooms are made, the queues in GP become longer.

Fitting the maximum of diagnosis and GP rooms in one building becomes a challenge fast

Im enjoying this. It is pretty much exactly Theme Hospital but with nicer graphics, which is great. I could take more remakes of old sim games.

I thought id want the sandbox mode but am actually enjoying the individual challenges, ive only 1 starred each one before moving on so can still go back to improve.

Any tips for room placement? I feel I'm doing terrible at that even though I've got the 3rd hospital unlocked.

I am a huge fan of Theme Hospital so playing Two Point Hospital is like a dream come true for me, i have been wanting a new version of the game for sooooo long. It's got all the wit and character that the first game had.

I feel incredibly nostalgic while playing it, you can tell it was a labour of love, they paid attention to all the tinniest details that made Theme Hospital so iconic.

Not sure if this will be useful for anyone, but i am now on my 5th level, so i thought i could post my layouts for the first 4 levels in case anyone was struggling.

I am quite OCD about organisation so i spend the majority of my time designing the hospital and then worry about making it work.

Updated on steam and my game has broke.

My old hospitals wont load and when I star a new hospital nobody can find there way to anything even though nothing is blocking them.

I was going to give you 4 Stars for proper symmetrical rooms that calm my Symmetritis, but then I noticed a rug was out of place here: https://imgur.com/K3SmNA6

Also, no Golden Toilets? They're patients, not peasants! I'm afraid I can only give your hospital 3 Stars.

How come i didn't start at 5 ?

Anyone else get an extreme case of the Heebie-jeebies from monobrows? I hate picking stuff up only to have those creepy crawlies scatter.

The game maxes out at 3, but your designs would have broken that scale were it not for errant rug placement.
