Ubisoft register Prince of Persia 6 domain

I'm conflicted.
PoP was my joint back in the day. This would be developed by modern Ubi, however, and I don't jive with their games.

You know what they could do, since AC has now gone the way of the Open World Action RPG.
POP should be more like previous AC games (ironic since AC its POP's successor). No idea if they should go open world though, using time travel mechanics in an open world could be awesome but taxing as hell.

A Prince of Persia game which overlaps with Assassin's Creed lore would be the only way I could see them doing this, creatively

Not happening. Hell, we still don't have Splinter Cell yet. Ubisoft also don't really make narrative driven AAA linear games anymore.

Nah son. I replayed the trilogy recently and it is easily the best. Far superior gameplay.
the Gamepass buisness model might be changing that though. Multiplayer games and open world bloat don't drive subscriptions as much as shorter replayable single player games do.
hell even EA isn't allergic to single player games anymore for this reason

Yeah, not expecting a new PoP anytime soon. Shinobi602 did tease that something was happening with the series but I took that comment more as some kind of tease for a remake or remaster.
This is actually the correct order, now I know what the six would mean. I at first thought Ubisoft did more than those.
The Prince in Sands of Time looked persian. Persians aren't that different from Europeans. Just culture that divides us.
I hope the original creator will be direct this game so it gets resurrected in the best way like GOW got and what is happening to SH right now.
I love 2008 but it's pretty clearly a different prince and a different world, whereas all the other ones exist in the same world with a consistent narrative arc. I'd prefer they just kept it as its own entry, or did a sequel to it, rather than trying to shoehorn it all together.
Just do what Zelda does - the Legend of Zelda story is an archetype and can exist in many different forms in many different timelines.

Gameplay-wise it was more than competent enough, in some ways better than Sands of Time.
And the Dahaka sequences were a blast. A bit too heavy on the backtracking, though.
Still, it blows shitty PoP 2008 a couple of miles away without even putting proper effort in it.
At least it didn't have 4-seconds-long canned animations for any button press.
Assassin's Creed is probably not going back to Egypt (or deserts in general) for the foreseeable future after doing so in 2017 with one of the best games in the franchise, Origins. Prince of Persia even more so has a place in our lives now. Please don't disappoint.
I wouldn't bring my hopes up, it looks like it wasn't registered by Ubisoft.

Two Thrones is one of my favorite games ever. I loved the stealth sections in that game and I occasionally think back to how artistically the camera angles were handled in certain places. I want all of that in the next PoP; it should be the complete opposite of Assassin's Creed. More linear, more stealth-focused, and with parkour/climbing that requires skill and precision.
