Just back in from voting - my wife and step-daughter cast their votes earlier today. Polling station was a lot busier than usual - we live in a small town on the Cromarty Firth, so typically I'll go in and be either one of two voting or on my own, but there were five of us tonight, including a young bloke and young couple with their kids. Volunteers confirmed it's been busier than average, and I think that's the sense everywhere today - certainly busier than any of the last few general elections, local elections or even IndyRef and the EU ref.

How the apparent increase in numbers translates at the end of the night is up in the air, but there was definitely a sense of this being A Big Election at our station tonight.

Just got back from voting. Can't say I'm proud voting LD but whatever fucks off the Tories. Hoping against hope that Dr Moderate is a hero tonight.

In Southampton today wife and I were eating in Bills. Four gammons sat next to us were talking about how they were proud that young people were out voting today - but only if they didn't vote Labour. Then they kept whining on about how they want a majority but don't know if they'll get one. My wife was ready to call them a bunch of cunts but we like eating there and hope that Royston is voted out if Southampton Itchen and Alan comes back as MP for Soton Test
I'm at the point now where if anyone argues with me that they want to continue to fuck my children's future by voting Tory that they can get fucked.

Whenever me and the wife go to coastal towns we tend to play 'spot the minority' because we can spend a week there and see less than a handful. Always see a tonne of ukip style posters in houses and its clear its just a bunch of old, racist fucks with nothing going on in their lives.

can relate. I was in the eyes of my high school full of dickheads, the brownest person they'd ever seen and I'm not even brown

Finally got to vote after work today. The steady number of students trickling in to vote was very encouraging but in this age of trump and brexit, I'm not giving in and leaving anything to hope.

Most people cannot say why they dislike Corbyn they have just been conditioned by the press to do so.
My wife is like this. It saddens me. I can recognise a lot of her reasons for not liking him as media soundbites.

Thankfully she's still voting for our local labour candidate, but I can tell you that she probably wouldn't have if this was a presidential style election.

Have decided that regardless of tonight's results I'm not letting this shit go. Tory voters are going to be reminded that they voted for a party led by a straight up racist and bigot, and as far as I'm concerned voting for that is as bad as being that.

Finally got my vote in and hadn't realised that even though the Brexit Party candidate had dropped out, they were still on the ballot because it was too late, so even though I'm in a fairly safe Labour area, hopefully that will help eat into any gains the Tories might of made in the area from Brexit.

Don't know how many more years of a Tory government I can hack.

I'll be graduating from medicine in a few years and I pray theres still an NHS to work for.

Seriously considering an exit from the country.

This is what's going around, according to someone I know on another forum. Someone who genuinely doesn't follow politics but was going to vote Labour mostly because all the people voting Tory that he knows are basically openly racist.

Edit: to clarify this is just to show the kind of crap thrown at Corbyn, it's not just accusations of anti-Semitism. Apologies if rushing it caused any grief....

Just got back from the polls. I live in a fairly safe Labour seat thankfully, so felt like a good atmosphere. God's speed tonight guys, I'm expecting the worst but there's a small sliver of hope left in my heart that hasn't been entirely extinguished.

Yeah, there was at least a vague mask of dogwhistles before, now the Tories aren't even hiding how evil they are. If they actually get a full majority after they've dropped those dogwhistles and made it clear they basically want people like me (people with mental illness) exterminated and at best literally treated as lesser then I know I don't owe a fucking thing but contempt to anyone who implies they're a remotely palatable option.

Well that's not surprising. Actually they had my address wrong at the polling station too. Lucky I took the card really since the wrong address was down on there. Our was down as

House no/street name
Street down the roads name
Village
Town
County

How the fuck we got the other street name in there is beyond me. We certainly didnt put it in and it's never been down as that literally anywhere else.

"Sheffield website, the Star, reports that Labour have complained after a blitz of anti-Jeremy Corbyn posters were plastered across the city overnight.
It says placards which read "Would you trust this man with your children?" featuring Corbyn's picture have been placed outside schools among other places. It described him as "an extremist" and said he defends terrorists.

Nick Bradley, chairman of Penistone and Stocksbridge Constituency Labour Party, told the Star hundreds of the "illegal and offensive" placards had gone up, adding:

This has been a campaign full of appalling lies with people using social media in particular to peddle offensive content.

"Putting a poster of Jeremy Corbyn outside a school with the message 'would you trust this man with your children' is as offensive as it gets.

The star said Labour had reported the matter to the police but South Yorkshire police told the Guardian it was a matter for the council.

Scotland
"Sheffield website, the Star, reports that Labour have complained after a blitz of anti-Jeremy Corbyn posters were plastered across the city overnight.
It says placards which read "Would you trust this man with your children?" featuring Corbyn's picture have been placed outside schools among other places. It described him as "an extremist" and said he defends terrorists.

Nick Bradley, chairman of Penistone and Stocksbridge Constituency Labour Party, told the Star hundreds of the "illegal and offensive" placards had gone up, adding:

The star said Labour had reported the matter to the police but South Yorkshire police told the Guardian it was a matter for the council.

Zero consequences as usual for Tories.

This is what's going around, according to someone I know on another forum. Someone who genuinely doesn't follow politics but was going to vote Labour mostly because all the people voting Tory that he knows constantly bang on about black and Pakistani people...
Can you at least spoiler tag this shite so people don't need to see it or maybe add something to your post explaining why you are spreading it in the first place?

Don't know how many more years of a Tory government I can hack.

I'll be graduating from medicine in a few years and I pray theres still an NHS to work for.

Seriously considering an exit from the country.

Not to put ideas in your head, but I had to visit a German hospital on Monday, and it was much nicer than the sorry state that the UK ones are in. The doctors seemed happier too. I'm sure there will always be room for more doctors on the main continent.

Not all of it would hold up.

But it wouldn't surprise me if some of that was true.

Let's be honest, this is the worst field for a GE in living memory.

Whether we get Labour or the Tories the UK is fucked either way, both of the leaders are complete cockwombles for different reasons.
Please don't do the both sides garbage when the tories are trying to sell the NHS

Yeah they're basically just as bad as each other. One wants to sell the NHS, kill poor people and drag the country kicking and screaming into a No Deal Brexit.

What does the other want to do? Rebuild our public services, redistribute wealth, help stop the unnecessary deaths caused by austerity? What a cunt.

& is led by a racist, sexist homophobic vile piece of scum.

Not to mention how the Tories hate the poor and the disabled not to mention don't care about how more stop & search powers will end up hurting POC more due to racial profiling.

And did I mention that it's being led by a vile hateful POS of a 'man'

No sorry. I'll just let my Polish wife get threatening letters from the NHS after she visited a cancer clinic asking for payment.

Never mind that she works for the Ministry of Justice or has lived here 15 years.

Of course Corbyn campaigned to stay in the EU didn't he to prevent things like this from happening.

Like l said. They are both twats.
